Having Faith In God

Never give up.

Having Faith In God

Forgetting all my worries, my pain, my disappointments, my tribulations, my weaknesses, and the impossibilities facing me, I trust Him. That is faith. When you are at the lowest point of your life, when you are surrounded by nothing but pain and struggle, when you are weighed down by a yoke, by a burden that is too hard for you to bear, when there is nowhere else to go but back, just hold on, just have faith because that is when God shows His power.

Noah was faced with a giant ark, Moses was faced with an endless sea, Job had before him a hopeless situation, Joshua was faced with an enormous wall, Gideon had 300 against 300,000, Solomon was too young, Abraham was too old, Magdalene was a whore, David was a murderer and adulterer, Saul was a butcher, Naaman was a leper, Elijah was a fugitive, Shedrach Meshach and Abednego were toast, Daniel was sent to lions, Jonah was swallowed by a fish, Esther was faced with life and death, Dairus’ daughter was dying, the widow of Nain was prepared for death, Lazarus was dead, and Jesus the savior of the world was hung on a tree.

Have you been in a worse situation than these people? Do you for one minute think your situation was worse than any of these people's? They were at the lowest points of their life. They had gone as far as they could. They had reached the darkest hours of their night. The only way forward was backward.

But God had a different plan for them. When God has a plan for you, no matter how many doors close on you, He must somehow open a window. There is nothing impossible for our God. Philippians 4:13 says that, with God, all things are possible. But you need faith to make them possible. God can never abandon you. He is waiting and hoping that you hang on to Him. And let me give you some reasons to hang on. Are you ready?

Noah completed that ark and saved mankind, Moses divided the sea, Job was replenished ten times over, Joshua collapsed the wall, Gideon defeated the army, Solomon became the wisest King, Abraham became father of nations, Magdalene turned to God’s friend, David became God’s favorite, Saul became one of the greatest apostles, Naaman was cured in seven dips, Elijah went body and soul to heaven, the boys turned the oven to a worship center, Daniel tamed the lions, Jonah saved Nineveh, Esther redeemed her people, Dairus’ daughter asked for food again, the widow’s jar never ran dry, Lazarus threw a party, and Jesus defeated death, rose to heaven, and took His place at the right hand of the Father. We serve a God who can change any situation, who can say yes when men have said no because He is able.

Still thinking of giving up? Just hold on, you are almost at the end of your tunnel. May your faith never waver in Jesus' name. Amen!

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
