Let's be real, having a dog is way better than having a boyfriend. Boyfriends come and go but dogs, they will love you for life. Here are some reasons why I'd choose a dog over a human any day.
1. Unconditional Love
No matter what, your dog is going to love you. Boyfriends, on the other hand, are a lot of work. Sometimes you are hard to love, but not to your dog.
2. Always excited to see you
Whether you've been gone 5 minutes or 5 hours, your dog will always be genuinely happy and excited to see you. Don't expect that from people.
3. No judgement
Your dog sees you being your true self and doing all the weird little things you do and still doesn't judge you. No matter how hard people try not to judge, they just can't reach the same level as your dog because people can never be completely free of judgment.
4. Always gives you kisses
Yeah, they may be wet and slobbery, but did you know that dogs' saliva has healing properties? If you have a booboo they can literally lick it better. Don't expect that from a boyfriend.
5. Always there for you
Your boyfriend isn't always going to be able to be there for you, but your dog can be! Your dog is never too busy for you because you are their world.
6. Always have a cuddle buddy
Whenever you want to cuddle your dog is there and always down.
7. Extremely forgiving
When you mess up and accidentally step on your dog's toes and hurt them, all it takes is an apology and maybe a scratch behind their ears for them to forgive you. You don't ever have to worry about them bring it up again or holding it against you because they are over it. People just aren't that cool.
8. Completely loyal
Your dog is never gonna cheat on you, but your boyfriend might. You know you have their complete and totally loyalty which eliminates a lot of worries. Plus they are great at keeping secrets.
9. Free hugs
Whenever you need a hug your dog is there for you. Your boyfriend might get mad at you or not being in a hugging mood, but your dog is always down for hugs.
10. Infinite capacity for love
Your dog is so full of love 24/7 that you never need to worry about them not liking you or wanting some space. People, on the other hand, are not so loving at all times of the day and sometimes need their space, but who cares, you don't need people when you've got a dog.
