With Halloween right around the corner and haunted house attractions opening up in every town, almost everyone is seeking some kind of thrill to experience this season. Any of these five places will be sure to deliver on that.

1. R.M.S Queen Mary- Longbeach, California

This haunted ship was originally a vessel for Hollywood royalty such as Audrey Hepburn, but was short lived for that purpose. It was soon turned into a troopship during WWII. The night of Halloween in 1967 she went on her last voyage and docked in her final resting place of Longbeach, California. Guests are welcome to visit any time of the year and even stay the night in this ship turned hotel but do so at your own risk. People report witnessing tons of paranormal activity, reportedly from deceased crew members that passed from an illness or from freak accidents that occurred on board.

2. The Stanley Hotel- Estes Park, Colorado

Reportedly the inspiration for Stephen King's novel, The Shining, this hotel is considered one of the most active ghost sites in existence. It's said to be haunted by the original owners F.O. and Flora Stanley and anyone can stay overnight if they dare. Some guests report there bags being unpacked, doors opening and closing, and a "haunting" piano tune being played in the background.

3. The Ohio State Reformatory- Mansfield, Ohio

Home to the filming of The Shawshank Redemption, this former prison is rumored to be filled with paranormal activity. It's supposedly haunted by former inmates, the past superintendent and his wife, the previous farm boss, and a family that was murdered outside of the building. This spot is available for guided tours and "paranormal programs" including ghost hunting classes and private paranormal investigations.

4. The Don Cesar Hotel- St. Petersburg, Florida

This beautiful pink palace was created in remembrance of the founders first love but now it's apparently home to the founders ghost. Guests that frequent this hotel report the 5th floor to be the most haunted and a lot of unusual activities occur there specifically.

5. Villisca Axe Murder House- Villisca, Iowa

This real life murder house was the site of multiple killings in 1912. Overnight stays are available but beware; this house is known to have strange sightings and creepy voices can often be heard echoing through the house.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
