College is a crazy time in all of our lives. Throwing thousands of people ranging from the ages of 18 to 22 all onto one campus is crazy enough in itself. Add the fact that we are all stressed out of our minds and sleep-deprived. Here is how I express how I feel about the head rush of obtaining a quality education .. through Harry Potter memes.

  1. Seeing your Snapchat Story after a night of “Studying".

2. Meeting your randomly assigned group members for the first time.

3. 8 a.m. classes.

4. The Class Ends at 2:00, but the lecture is still going at 2:02.

5. When the Professor decides to not collect the homework you didn’t do.

6. Passing an exam you didn’t study for.

7. “You won’t pass if you don’t show up to class”.

8. “The Final study guide is now on online”.

9. Walking in on the first day of class to see your best friend has the same class.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines.
