As summer approaches, it brings with it the renewal of many of our favorite streaming shows, such as Netflix's GLOW and Amazon's Catastrophe. While the number of programs we're all excited for is probably too many to be counted, Hulu's Harlots has left it's growing community of fans and followers with much anticipation for the new season, set to premiere on July 11, 2018, by kicking things off with a two-episode debut!

While not much has been revealed in terms of plot or next season's themes, here's what we do know about season two so far.

Liv Tyler Joins the Cast

From the lineup of HBO's The Leftovers comes Liv Tyler, American actress who gained international recognition from her role as Arwen Undómiel in the Lord of the Rings trilogy. Tyler will play the new character Lady Isabella Fitzwilliam. An aristocrat with secrets who is trapped in a loveless marriage, she is set to form an unlikely friendship with courtesan Charlotte Wells.

It is safe to speculate that the two will form an alliance to bring down Charlotte's new Madame, Lydia Quigley, who has been terrorizing her mother for decades and been blackmailing Tyler's character. While there are still some healthy questions before the season starts (What larger role will Lady Isabella play? Will her marriage have anything to do with the blackmail? What secrets could she possibly be hiding?), her addition to the cast can only bring good things to the show.

Charlotte Wells Turns Double Agent

As we remember from the end of season one, Charlotte Wells has left the house of her mother and is now in the service of series antagonist Lydia Quigley. Unbeknownst to Lydia, however, Charlotte is secretly plotting to bring down her house as retribution for causing her own mother so much grief for so many years.

We're all wondering just what kind of plan Charlotte is going to hatch and just how far she'll go to get what she desires.

All's Fair in Love...

There were many romances, all complicated and none clear-cut, last season between many characters. Some of which were entirely unexpected.

The romance with the most hope, as well as the most surprising and my personal favorite, is between Amelia Scanwell and Violet Cross. I don't think anyone was expecting love to blossom between these two, but there is potential here, as well as the opportunity for a good story, that has us all hoping we'll see more of them in season 2.

...And War

Not all romances have the indication of actual love though. The relationship between Charles Quigley, son and aide of Lydia Quigley, and Emily Lacey, a former girl of Margaret Wells turned a former girl of Lydia Quigley is complicated. We watched their time together grow more complex over the first season, and it seems that the two have struck out on their own by the end of the season.

Not in the romantic sense, however, as it's implied in the above scene that their relationship is now strictly for finding business. While we're not quite sure what road their partnership will be going down, it will certainly be tense if events from the first season have anything to do with it.

Going Forward

There are multiple other subplots I could spend my time going into as we look ahead at season 2 but for the sake of time and purpose, those stated above hold the most speculation and excitement for the next season as it stands. There are many other questions burning in the back of my mind, but for now I'll just have to be content with what we know so far and be on the lookout for any release dates or trailers that might be headed my way.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
