What Your Hardest Classes Make You Want to Do

THE STRUGGLES

What Your Hardest Classes Make You Want to Do

You're sitting in your organic chemistry class, world lit class, Calculus 3 class, linguistics class, art class or whatever class is your hardest, and you're thinking, "What did I do to deserve this? Oh yeah, I have to take it." You're zoning out. You stare at the board with your mouth in a complete "o" shape. As you go through your hardest classes in college, this is how you feel, and sometimes you're just like, "I don't want to ever feel or think again."

Your professor explains the syllabus and starts on the first subject and you think, "Well, great"

When you're zoning out, you're at the point where you think, "I just don't care anymore."

When you have a terrible professor, but they're the only option.

While doing the homework, you're like:

When you go to your professor's office hours to get some help and you're more confused than before

You complain about that class every chance you get.

You internally scream to your professor, "MAKE ME UNDERSTAND."

You leave that class feeling so mentally exhausted that all you want to do is cry and take a nap.

Sometimes you just want to give up, but you think, "BUT I CAN'T FAIL."

Especially when it's required for your major.

People will ask what the subject is.

If someone asks, "How's that class going?"

Getting a test back and seeing you miraculously passed.

Leaving that class for the last time

When you pass the class by some miracle

If you're down in the dumps because of how hard a class is, just know that you can do it. You will get through it some way or another. Study with other people. Others understand what you don't understand, and maybe you can teach them what you do understand. Talk to your upperclassmen friends, and if they still remember some knowledge of it, they can help you too. Study as much as possible, and if your school offers tutoring, TAKE IT. Ask your professor as many questions as you can think of. Don't just give up yet because once you get through it, you'll think, "I have just done the impossible."

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
