Happy Mother's Day To Everyone Who Is A Mother To Me

It's not about being blood-related, but the figure they've become in my life when they did not have to be and when I needed it most.

Happy Mother's Day To Everyone Who Is A Mother To Me

It's this time of the year again where we celebrate our mothers being the greatest that we could possibly as for - whether it's sacrificing everything or anything to make us happy or just simply being there for us when we need them the most. It's like we cannot describe how great it is to have such a wonderful role model in our lives.

There are many people who we wish happy mother's day to, and many who we show appreciation for because they are always there for us. Many of us have different motherly figures in our lives, whether it is a close relative, family friend, or even someone like a close teacher. These are the people who never fail to be there when you need someone. These are the people who remind you how lucky you are to have them in your life for everything that they do.

So I would like to give a special thank you to these people and wish them a wonderful Mother's Day:

To my favorite teacher/guidance counselor
Thank you for pushing me to my best, even when school started to get hard. Thank you for telling me that I was capable of many things and believing in me when I told myself otherwise. You were the one who saw my stressful breakdowns in school, so thank you for dealing with that. Thank you for letting me come by to your room just to visit and talk when I didn't feel like sitting in class anymore. Thank you for giving me the opportunities that you did for me to better myself. And thank you for continuing to keep in touch with me to check up on me. You were always my home away from home, and you will continue to be in my heart.

To my best friend's mom
Thank you for allowing me to be in your house, but also be myself with you. Thank you for accepting me for who I am and letting me be friends with your daughter/son. Thank you for being one of my biggest fans at school. I could always count on you to scream for my name when I get called on. Thank you for being a proud second mom. And thank you for being the most amazing mother because you raised my amazing best friend. And oh, thank you for feeding me!

To my aunt,
You're a special one. You're someone who is distant enough, but also enough to be my mother figure. You've taken care of me when nobody else could. You've cut me so much slack, so I guess you're the "cool mom" in my eyes. Thank you for spoiling me with all the big holidays. And thank you for loving me like I'm your own.

And finally.. to my mom,
Thank you for showing me that everyday is a new day to be me. Thank you for bringing me into this world and reminding me that even though it can be cruel, I am capable of being the better and seeing the better of this world. Thank you for dealing with my everyday complaints, my occasional tantrums, my laziness, well - the list can go on. Just thank you for dealing with me and still loving me for it. You are the reason why I am the person I am now. You are the reason why I remind myself of what I am worth because I know that it makes you happy to see me happy. Thank you for being strong for me when you would rather be at your weakest. Thank you for being my hero beacuse you save every bad day I have by just being you.

So to everyone - thank you for being amazing mothers to me. Everyday day is Mother's Day because you all deserve the appreciation with all that you guys do. Keep being amazing. I love you all.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
