Half A Year Without One Direction

Half A Year Without One Direction

In the summer of 2015 the world was shocked to hear the heartbreaking news of One Direction taking a break! The fans already dealt with a dramatic year from Zayn announcing his department from the band in March to the announcement of Louis becoming a Dad. The hiatus for the band is expecting to last anywhere from 18 to 24 months. I am almost positive all the fans are praying for 18 months, That could be up to two years without those lovely faces and music! It has circulated that the band may not be coming back as Harry is currently working on a movie and signed a solo contract. Although new rumors occur everyday about the band fans are staying strong and determined that the boys will come back, as they made a promise they would. So what have the fans been holding onto to keep them busy during the break?

Directioners were graced with another album! The band released their fifth studio album Made In the A.M. on November 13th, 2015. The boys promised the fans (Directioners) that this will be their best album yet, and I can say that it truly is.The album provides an array of music for everyone's taste and has expanded them out of the category of pop music. Good job boys!

On January 21st, 2016 the One Direction family received a new member. Louis Tomlinson and baby mama Briana Jungwirth welcomed their son Freddie Reign Tomlinson. I can speak for all of the fans that our hearts were ripped out with cuteness overload when the picture of baby Freddie emerged. Yes it is okay if you sobbed at this photo, I do every time. Louis you made a beautiful human.

Fans seemed to be distraught when Liam Payne and girlfriend Sophia Smith broke it off after two years together in November 2015. I can not deny that they were my own relationship goals. But in March 2016 rumors came that Liam and Cheryl Fernandez-Versini, the X Factor judge, were together. Liam announced the relationship on March 6th through an Instagram post. As long as you are happy Liam, we are happy!

A year after Zayn left the band he released his first solo album, Mind of Mine, on March 25th, 2016. Although many fans were upset and distraught over Zayn leaving, we were still able to preoccupy ourselves with the new music and answer the questions if it was wise for him to leave One Direction.

For Harry girls (myself) May 6th, 2016 there was a shock, we all knew that it was inevitable and was bound to happen but we wanted to be a bit more prepared. Harry cut his beautiful locks. Mixed reviews soared on social media, some saddened and others ecstatic. Fans were toyed with as the only pictures that surfaced of Harry was him with a beanie or hat on. Eventually pictures arrived of Harry, his freshly cut locks, and the set of his new movie (Dunkirk, to be released in 2017). New photos seem to be emerging everyday and fans are still reeling over the drastic difference. You do you Harry.

The most recent occurrence is to do with our sweet Niall. Niall seems to be simply living life and relaxing on the break. Photos constantly emerge of him with friends at concerts and sporting events. No one is complaining Niall, keep those pictures coming!

Autumn Playlists
King of Wallpapers

Autumn is my favorite time of the year. The leaves change, pumpkin spice everything hits the shelves (thank you, world!), the 13 Nights of Halloween on Freeform (formerly abcfamily) and the temperature drops. Well, the temperature is supposed to drop. Being in south Alabama, however, means that the temperature may be relatively low early in the mornings, but you're still going to suffer in the afternoon. So if the weather outside isn't getting you in the Autumn mood, maybe these Spotify playlists will help you slip into that wonderful, Autumn state of mind.

I have never understood why grown-ups complain when the leaves are all off the trees, and the temperatures take a decided turn towards the zero on the thermometer. I hear complaints about the impending winter weather, and the driving in the snow and ice. We live in Pennsylvania, so I bite my tongue instead of stating the obvious: Maybe you should move to a warmer climate?

The Cranberries Zombie

Aside from the great hits like "Dreams," "Linger," and "Zombie," you may not know many other songs by "The Cranberries."
