Haiku is a short form of Japanese poetry. Haiku contain three lines and follow a 5-7-5 syllable pattern.

I gave her a rose
she wrapped it in her soft hands
gritty, dried-up hands.

word, letter, and phrase
construed to oozle your speech
a grunt would suffice.
“A Haiku of Seasons”
after the summer
leaves change from green to bright red
not for the beauty.
“A Haiku of Time”
past, present, future
a continuum through space
not very spatial.
“A Haiku of Life”
lovely hummingbird
eating nectar of flower
suspends his demise.
