4 Reasons H20 Is The Way To Go
Lean Jump Start

Water is such a healthy choice of life and many do not know the perks of drinking a decent amount of water each day. I personally, love water and a person is supposed to drink half their body weight in ounces of water each day. Every morning I try to drink two full mugs before I leave for work, and while I am at school I constantly walk around with a water bottle to drink throughout the day. Once you get a routine with drinking water it becomes second nature and your body will crave water all the time. Your body even craves it now without you knowing. Many people claim that water is "nasty" and does not have a taste or flavor, but water is very replenishing, and nourishing especially after putting up a good sweat, or just throughout the day to keep you hydrated. Here are 4 reasons why everyone should increase their water intake:

1. Good for the skin.

People are always complimenting me on my skin and asking me what I use to keep it as clear as it is. I still have a pimple from time to time, but not as much as I used to and it is because I increased my water intake. Facial cleansers do not work for me and make me break out even more because I have always had sensitive skin. In the mornings all I can do is wash my face with soap and water and that is it. But since I started drinking more water my skin stays clear and under control. Plus, water also helps slow down wrinkling and is know to be a great anti-aging treatment.

2. Lessens appetite

Water really fills you up and prevents over eating and obesity. A lot of times when we think we are hungry, our bodies are dehydrated and thirsty. This is more around the late hours at night when we tend to snack and search for things to nibble on. Our bodies are actually thirsty and asking for water to quench that thirst. Also while at restaurants if you have your meal with water sometimes you get full quicker because you are fulfilling your hunger and thirst. If people would learn to drink more water many lives would be saved from possible obesity and heart conditions that come from eating so much of the wrong food.

3. Gives energy.

Drinking water also gives people an energy boost. The amount of water our bodies are made up of varies with age, height, and weight, but, approximately, 70% of our bodies are made up of water. In order to fill that percentage we must constantly have a water intake that matches that percentage. When your body is getting the correct amount of water it needs you will start to feel more energized and alert. Tasks will not be as hard to complete without getting tired, sleepy, or aggravated. Your immune system will be boosted, there will be more regularity in the bathroom, and water helps prevent headaches, back pains, and cramps.

4. Saves money.

Water is free in most restaurants and in your home. Some people prefer bottled water which is still cheaper than buying sodas and juices. You can always buy a nice reusable bottle, put ice in it, and fill it up with tap water or water from the refrigerator. Then take that bottle everywhere with you and continue to refill it throughout the day. Even at home you can fill up a mug, or cup, and just drink water from it throughout the day.

I am not saying cut juices, sodas, and other things off completely, but definitely increase your water intake. If you want clear skin, weight loss, more energy, and to save money then drinking water is the way to go. To start off maybe at the next restaurant you go to order a glass of any drink that you like and also order a glass of water. While you sit there take sips from each and if you keep doing this soon you will find your body being drawn towards the water more so than the soda or juice. Drinking a lot of water does make you run to the bathroom more, but that is just the water doing its job and cleansing your internal system. Do your body a favor and become a fan of water!

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
