Perhaps you've experienced checking the balance of your bank account thinking you had close to $200 left, only to be greeted by a slap in the face when you realize you in fact have $3.27 in your account and still have to go grocery shopping for the week.

Maybe you get lucky and your parents give you a little bit of money to go grocery shopping and you start making a list and instantly become annoyed when you have no choice but to put these items on the list:

1. Shampoo and conditioner

Might as well take out a loan to make this investment

2. Toothpaste/deodorant

Okay definitely an essential but $5, is that really necessary?

3. Feminine products

It's almost as though they are punishing for the fact that we are girls.

4. Face wash/makeup remover wipes

Makeup remover wipes are a college girls best friend, until you have to buy a new pack.

5. Razors

These can be as much as $25!!! Why!!!

6. Coffee

Can't live without it but UGH, K-cups are ridiculously priced.

7. Peanut Butter

If you're anything like me, this is a go-to essential but holy cow is it expensive, especially if you go through a jar every two weeks.

8. School Supplies

Pens, notebooks, highlighters, etc... BIC pens and reusing last years notebooks it is.

9. Cooking/baking supplies

I love baking and cooking but the second I realize my apartment/dorm doesn't come with the essentials (flour, oils, spices, etc.) my house at home does is when I grow frustrated and give up on the idea.

10. Healthy foods

Okay I love eating healthy and try so hard to do it consistently but they make it really hard when fruit/vegetables/healthy meats are insanely priced!

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
