Shonda Rhimes has been making us belly laugh and ugly cry for fourteen seasons— fourteen seasons of marriage, death, and happy endings. Like any "Grey's Anatomy" fan, you know that although it's "just a show," these fourteen seasons have changed your life.

Here are 10 quotes from "Grey's Anatomy" that healed your broken heart and made your day just a little bit better:

1. "Have some fire. Be unstoppable. Be a force of nature. Be better than anyone here and don't give a damn about what anyone thinks."

-Christina Yang

2. "Sometimes it's good to be scared. It means you still have something to lose."

-Richard Webber

3. "Don't let what he wants eclipse what you need. He's very dreamy, but he's not the sun. You are."

-Christina Yang

4. "You can build a house out of anything. Make it as strong as you want. But a home, a home is more fragile than that. A home is made of the people you fill it with. And people can be broken, sure, but any surgeon knows, what's broken can be mended. What's hurt can be healed. No matter how dark it gets, the sun's going to rise again."

-Merideth Grey

5. "Oh, screw beautiful. I'm brilliant. If you want to appease me, compliment my brain."

-Christina Yang

6. "So, you keep going. You don't give up. You stand tall. You fight. You always show up to save the day."

-Merideth Grey

7. "It's a beautiful day to save lives."

-Derek Shepherd

8. "The expected is what keeps us steady. The unexpected is what changes our lives forever."

-Alex Karev

9. "Never be afraid to stand up for yourself. Just be sure you are right when you do."

-Miranda Bailey

10. "Listen to the nurses, respect the nurses, do whatever the nurses say. You may think you know more than the nurses— you do not."

-Stephanie Edwards

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
