Nothing's as bad as broccoli.

1. When you receive chocolate, baked goods, etc.

2. When the box is loaded down with tape

Cut, cut, cut!

3. When you receive a gift you hate

Fake it, fake the interest.

4. When you receive clothes

"Go try them on," and be enthused.

5. When you receive a gag gift

Laugh it off, because everyone else will be laughing too.

6. When there is a present you'll have to share with someone else

Knock out the competition

7. When you receive a sweet gift from your significant other

8. When there is a lot of wrapping/tissue paper

Make sure nothing gets lost in the fray.

9. When you receive an "inside joke" gift

Give them the "you did well" nod of approval.

10. When the gift is sentimental

It's okay to shed a tear or two.

11. When you receive a gift that isn't quite you

12. When your gift has not arrived so you get an "I owe you" note

It's completely normal to be a bit disappointed, but don't get too down, because a gift is on the way!

13. When the little ones want to help open

Let them. It will mean the world to them. And, it may make things more interesting or funny.

14. When you receive a high-tech gift you don't understand

Be open to learning something new, you'll catch on. Some of the best gift-giving experiences are when one has to teach another how to use the gift.

15. When you're playing a version of "Dirty Santa," and you want to keep your gift

Keep your cool, and secretively stash the present.

16. When you're playing a version of "Dirty Santa," and you don't want to keep your gift

Show off your gift, act highly interested, and maybe you'll draw the eyes of a curious player into stealing it.

17. When you receive a gift card

Deciding what to spend it on may be a challenge, but it'll be a fun challenge to take on!

18. When you have to pick up a heavy present

Don't worry. Show off your muscles, but take care, because the heavy gifts can often be nice expensive gifts.

19. When you receive the perfect gift

Celebrate!!

20. When all is finished

Say thank you!

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
