With the chilly winter months among us, I’m sure you want to know how to keep in style while also staying warm. The Greek Life of IU often dresses their best even in their comfy attire. The Greek Life of IU has an overall image to uphold in order to maintain their hierarchy status.
Here are just a few ideas, compliments of Indiana University’s Greek Life.
Timberlands
Sported by frats and soros alike, they are trendy, but also great for trekking through the thick snow. They can easily be personalized by the variation of color. Personally, I would not want mine anywhere near the snow, but you know if they get ruined, you can always buy more, right?
Duck Boots
I think these are the most hideous boots known to man, but for some reason people love them. I’m not talking about just Greeks here, but other students around campus. These are also great for the snow, especially with the grips on the bottom. If I aspire to embrace my inner duck, I too would fall in love with these babies.
Canada Goose Coat
Nothing like an animal getting their own warmth sacrificed for the sake of your own. These coats are actually really adorable. However, wearing it would be going against some of my personal morals.You can obtain this for the lovely price of about $1000. Clearly, you have to have quite a bit of money to blow to acquire such a luxury. Hey, you may starve for a few months, but at least you’ll look good.
CC Beanie
Who knew beanies could be so adorable? These warm and cozy hats are probably more in your price range. The thick threading allows for you to keep your head toasty, while also being stylish in the process. I have no idea why they are so popular, probably because of the name. Maybe it is because Greeks wear them, I don't know. I do know, that I would like to have one in every color by the end of my college career.
Tan Skin
Oddly enough, they still maintain their flawless tan skin throughout the winter months. Beauty never sleeps. Therefore, if you spot a tan this winter season on a student, you’re probably in the presence of a Greek.
Black Leggings
Apparently, they do buy multiple black tights rather than just wear the same pair over and over. They do go with everything though, so no wonder they are worn so often.
Oversized Sweaters
This is maybe an over exaggeration. However, you get the hint. Oversized sweaters are so comfortable and are often paired with those black tights I discussed above. It’s like a cross between casual clothes and pajamas.
