Just last week, my sorority found out who was getting who as their future littles. For people not super involved in Greek life, a little is basically like your 'little sister'. You, as her big, become her mentor, one of her friends, and someone they can always turn to. The hype surrounding big/little reveal is one of my favorite parts about being in a sorority, everyone is so excited to welcome new girls into their respected families. I remember my big/little reveal like it was yesterday, and then getting my little like it was just a few hours ago. My little and I are best friends, future roommates, and I couldn't imagine having anyone else as a little. I am so excited for her to welcome in a little to our family, one that she can have an amazing big/little relationship with.
As for me, even though I am not getting another little this year, I do get to welcome in grand littles to my family. As someone super Greek life, I am excited to serve as a role model, mentor, and friend to her. To my future grand little, I hope you find your home in our sorority like I have mine.

I know that rushing a sorority was probably one of the scariest and out-of-comfort-zone things you've ever done. I completely understand I was in that exact same boat. I am so proud of you for wanting to join our organization, I see so much potential for you to do great things in our chapter.
I know how tough the new member process can be. Attending Greek community events, studying for new member quizzes, and finding the time for school and a social life is hard. Trust me, you will get through it. I have full faith in your success. No matter how frustrated or down you get, you will always have me and your big to help you through it. There are times you are going to want to quit or give up. Don't quit, you have so much support to get you through the tough times; we all want you to succeed.
I hope that you know that we are going to be future best friends. I had the best relationship with my big, and your big and I are the same way. Whether it is random coffee dates, FaceTiming each other on the phone each night for hours, or just getting dinner before chapter, I can't wait to become one of your best friends. We are so excited to spoil you with love, gifts, and tons of crafts.
Our Greek family is quite the crop of girls, we all hold the same drive of professionalism and drive to succeed as one another. You are the perfect fit for our family.
Although I am not your big, I still want to be one of the best parts of your family. I promise to be there for you, to spoil you with love, and most of all be the best grandma you could ever ask for. I can't wait for you to meet me.
