As I Graduate From College...
Treasure Valley Community College

As I graduate from college this semester, I have a lot of things to look back on... The paths I’ve gone down, the adventures I’ve taken, the people I’ve met, and the journey to my business degree.

All the all-nighters I pulled just to finish papers that I procrastinated on until the last minute. I learned I do my best work under pressure, but not when I’m sleep deprived. All the professors who taught me that even if I don’t want to do the work, just suck it up and do it anyway because I’m going to have to do that at work anyway.

To my favorite professor who taught me how to be professional. To the things I’ll never forget like the self-induced coffee overdose to try to stay awake for my business law night class (I limit myself to only three cups a day now). Looking back and now being able to say I graduated is an exhilarating feeling, but it is also a bittersweet moment. It’s a moment of new beginnings, but also a moment of goodbyes.

I’m grateful for all the people I have met throughout my college experience.

Whether I met you at college or through a friend, each and every one of you shaped some aspect of me, whether it be big or small, into the person I am today. I can thank Dylan for teaching me what it’s like to have a good friend who cares. Kaylee for teaching me it’s okay to be loud and outgoing, even if people don’t like it. Shawn for teaching me to not give a shit about what others think, and that you’ll be happier by doing so. Andrii for teaching me that there are still good people out there because I lost my faith a while ago. My entrepreneurship snap squad, for teaching me what it’s like to be a part of a group and to feel appreciated. Sam for being my best friend, because I think one sentence can’t explain our friendship.

I hold each and every one of you close to my heart and thank my lucky stars that I met you all.

Through all the adventures we’ve taken together, in the classroom or not, I can thank you for all the memories I will cherish. I can also thank you for getting me to where I am today. I don’t know where I’d be or who I’d be without each of you helping to shape me into a better person.

So, as I graduate from college this semester, I hope you hold me close to your heart like I do to you. I hope you can look back and remember the good times we shared. I hope each and every one of you exceeds your expectations and makes your dreams come true.

As Fall Out Boy once said, thnks fr th mmrs, until we meet again my friends.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
