6 Must-See Gossip Girl Sites

Gossip Girl here. You’re one and only source on how to live the glamorous lives of Manhattan’s elite. Are you visiting New York City and wondering where Blair Waldorf and Serena Van Der Woodsen are hanging out? The Upper East Side is full of tall buildings, fast-walking New-Yorkers, and all different shops and restaurants. To live the fancy lifestyle of these two beloved characters, you have to visit the right hot-spots within the city. If you’re a true die hard fan of "Gossip Girl" you should already know. But here’s a little reminder for those of you who haven’t stayed updated with the drama in quite some time.

1. Butter. Remember when little Jenny’s birthday party fell to pieces? Blair stole the minions back and took them to this fancy, delicious restaurant only to be once again embarrassed by Jenny, but this time with the help of Nate Archibald. If you’re looking for a place to dress up and have an expensive meal, this is the place for you. The full bar, delicious bread and butter, food and desserts won’t disappoint. Keep your eyes out though. You never know who will send in tips to the "Gossip Girl" website!

2. The Metropolitan Museum. The famous steps Blair Waldorf rules. The girls in the show are found snacking on these steps almost every episode. And while there, you might as well go inside to see the beautiful and amazing artwork the building holds! But be careful, you don’t want to sit any step higher than Blair while visiting! She may find you as a threat and start rumors.

3. Grand Central Station. Think back to the very first episode of "Gossip Girl." The episode that started it all and caught your eye--and lonely boys’ eyes. Serena Van Der Woodsen is spotted getting off the train at Grand Central. And no one knows where she went, or why she left. While there, you might as well catch a train and disappear for awhile like Serena!

4. Visit Central Park. This may seem like a no-brainer. If you’re in New York, you’re going to go to the park. This park is shown hundreds of times within the show. Within breaks of scenes, and is the site of Chuck and Blair’s wedding. If you see two people hurrying to get married don’t call the police! Let them finish the ceremony first!

5. New York Palace Hotel. The home of the Van Der Woodsens. This is where Dan Humphrey first talks to Serena (wanting to give her back her lost phone) and receives his first date with her in return. Dan sneaks a Christmas tree into her apartment for Serena’s Christmas present and the famous Chuck Bass owns the hotel. The hotel is very glamorous and amazing to see while visiting the city.

6. The Oak Room. Found in the Plaza Hotel, this is the site that Serena attempts to confront the person behind Gossip Girl. They are just about to graduate from high school and she is sick of someone ruining their lives and hiding behind a computer. She texts Gossip Girl, asking the person to meet her and the rest of the cast members, at midnight at the Oak Room. They all sit at the bar, and while some of the phones go off, Gossip Girl is never found. Gossip Girl spills tons of scandals at the end of this episode and promises the cast to follow them no matter where they are in the future. Leaving the cast members mad, some friendless, and upset.

So there you have it. If you’re going to New York, please do it right. There is definitely nothing better in the world than the Waldorf-Van Der Woodsen lifestyle. You know you love me.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
