If Gossip Girl Characters Went To John Carroll University

If you're a typical college student, you probably spend at least a little bit of time procrastinating on Netflix. Hopefully on one of these Netflix binges, you have stumbled upon at least a few episodes of Gossip Girl. Did you ever think of what the infamous characters would be like if they attended your college? Well if your favorite Upper East Sider's attended this small Jesuit university in Cleveland, here's what they would be up to:

Blair Waldorf

Blair is your typical over achiever. She likes to dominate the social scene and be the leader of everything. Therefore, Blair would most likely be found as the president of a sorority and/or on student union. When she isn't busy with these tasks you can catch Blair sitting on the steps of the student center with Serena, chatting it up about who is wearing last season's styles, while sipping on a latte from Einstein's. She might also be spotted yelling at SUPB for not creating Waldorf standard guest lists to their events.

Chuck Bass

Chuck would most likely never be spotted on campus. He instead would be strolling around Legacy Village seeing how many well-dressed ladies he could pickup. While sipping on scotch at Bar Louie, Chuck would not be concerned with studying as he would most likely try to bribe every one of his professors with a large check. However, if you do spot Chuck on campus he is most likely hitting on every freshman girl and lounging in a chair on the quad. When asked how he manages to stay a student at Carroll, his answer would, of course, be "I'm Chuck Bass".

Serena Van der Woodsen

Serena would be the girl every guy on campus YikYak's about. She would be asked to every formal and homecoming queen senior year. Serena would be flirting with the quiet but super smart boys in her class to get them to help her with her homework. While being the life of the party and style icon on campus, Serena's professors would feel a different way about Miss Van der Woodsen. Seeing as how she would most likely always run late to class and skip her Friday 8 am too often because of a fun Thursday night at Panini's.

Nate Archibald

Nate would join the greater masses of Carroll as a student in Boler. In hopes to clear his family's name after his father's mistake, Nate's goal here at JCU is to get a degree in management. He plans to stay the extra year to achieve his MBA. Nate is also on the intramural rugby team and writes for The Carroll News. On top of trying to stay a Dean's List student, Nate's guilty pleasure is City and East. He has a bad habit of meeting a new girl there every week and can never make up his mind on which one he actually likes.

Dan Humphrey

Dan manages to stay below the radar, as challenging as that is here at JCU sometimes. Most days you'll catch him chilling on the B side of the caf by himself. Dan is a Professional Writing and English double major so he doesn't have much free time. However, when he isn't on the top floor of Grasselli Library studying, he can be found helping out back stage at the latest theatrical production.

Jenny Humphrey

Unfortunately, we didn't see Jenny for long at John Carroll. After she realized a liberal arts college wasn't for her, she decided to transfer. Jenny now studies fashion design at Kent State. She occasionally misses being close to her brother but is too scared of Blair Waldorf to set foot back in University Heights.

Georgina Sparks

No one is really sure if Georgina is actually still a student here. She is the senior that is stumbling across the quad every weekend and holds the record for how many times she was written up by an RA freshman year. Georgina never joined a club or organization on campus and is an un-invited guest at every party on Warrensville. Her counselor is emailing her every day warning her of how she still hasn't completed the core but Georgina just doesn't seem to care.

Rufus Humphrey

Rufus just couldn't handle having both his kids leave him. Therefore, he decided to get a job in the caf. They appreciated his enthusiasm for breakfast food so much that his only responsibility is to man the waffle maker station and make one for anyone that asks. Possibly another reason Jenny transferred?

Vanessa Abrams

Vanessa is a student in the communication department. She is focusing on visual media and is president of the Carroll TV Station. She is also an active member of WJCU and Her Campus. When not studying or participating in these activities, Vanessa is frequently pushing for social justice on and off campus. Even with all of this on her plate, Vanessa still finds herself poking her nose into other people's business a little too frequently.

Well my lovely Odyssey readers, it's time for me to finish up this article. Until next time. You know you love me.

XOXO,

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
