If you are lucky enough to have a birthday between April 20th and May 20th, you’re lucky enough to call yourself a Taurus. Now, I know a lot of people don’t believe in the mumbo-jumbo of Zodiac signs, and I have to say, sometimes I think it's a load of crap, too, but there are a few key Taurus characteristics that are right on point. As a bull myself, I am smart enough to admit that some of these traits don’t always benefit the Taurus right in that moment, but, being a bull, I am also stubborn enough to insist that even the bad traits are good for me. A true Taurus will know what I mean and completely agree.
Independence
Tauruses love being around people, but it has to be on their own terms. We don't feel the need to always have a posse with us everywhere we go. If we want to go sit at Starbucks and enjoy a coffee alone, we will do that. Taurus individuals like to be alone. It doesn't mean we don't enjoy your company. It just means we need our alone time a little more than some of the other signs do. Give us our space and we’ll come back when we decide it’s time to.
Loyalty
You will never find a more loyal person than a Taurus. They will stand with you until the end, even if they don't always agree with you. A Taurus won’t let their friend stand alone, and they will never betray your trust. If you tell a secret to a Taurus, you better believe they will take that secret with them to the grave. Tauruses put a great deal of value in trust, and they will make sure they never jeopardize that trust.
Stubborn
"Stubborn as a bull" is the motto for Taurus individuals. That saying is a saying for a reason, and like their animal namesake, Taurus bulls are stubborn. Once we set our minds to something we will not stop until it is done. This can get messy when it is just something we cannot physically do alone and we actually really need help. We’ll grumble and make excuses, saying we could’ve done it without your help, but just know that this is a Tauruses special way of saying thanks because you can bet your ass we won’t ever come out and say it.
Laziness
Bulls are lazy. There is no getting around that. We are happy to just sit around and do nothing, procrastinating all of our work until the last minute. We are the masters of that. And because we are stubborn, when we do decide that we should actually write that paper that's due tomorrow, we won’t stop until it is done. Tauruses fall into an endless cycle of lazing around and hustling at the last minute. But hey, we get our sh*t done, and still get to watch all of our shows on Netflix.
