We all have those days where we feel like we need to let out a good cry. I can't be the only one who thinks that. What better to get over being emotional than watching a sad movie? Here are a few movies I turn to when I get in an emotional mood:
1. "My Girl"
This classic coming-of-age movie will have you crying both happy and sad tears throughout the entire movie. The first time I watched this I was excited, because "the boy from Home Alone is in it". Boy was I upset by the end of this movie.
2. "Marley and Me"
GiphyYou're lying if you say you do not cry every time you watch the scene where Marley dies (sorry for the spoiler alert).
3. "The Notebook"
The undying love between Allie and Noah is so beautiful. This movie will have you go through an entire box of tissues before the credits roll.
4. "Steel Magnolias"
This is an oldie but definitely a goodie. Any southerner needs to watch this movie. The cast is so powerful (hello Dolly Parton is in it), and it is such a rollercoaster of tears of joy and sadness.
5. "Titanic"
The real-life story of this shipwreck is tragic enough without the fictional romance between Jack and Rose. Watching this movie is the most emotional rollercoaster I have ever experienced.
6. "The Fault in Our Stars"
GiphyI you aren't a total emotional mess at the end of this movie, then you probably were not paying attention.
7. "A Star is Born"
This entire movie is gold. The music is amazing. The chemistry between Bradley Cooper and Lady Gaga is beautiful.
8. "The Lion King"
GiphyThis scene speaks for itself. Disney did us wrong with killing Mufasa.
9. "Up"
Ok I might be overreacting a tad but I was crying before the movie could barely get started.
10. "Forrest Gump"
I think I am the only one who cries every time I watch "Forrest Gump". The love Forrest has for Jenny is so sad, because she doesn't give him the same energy, and you are lying if you didn't get a little upset when she dies in the end (sorry spoiler).
