Going Through The Emotions Of The Holidays Explained By Disney
Walt Disney Pictures

Tis’ the season of shopping lists, screaming children, delicious food, family gathering and strange questions from relatives. The list can go on and on, and everyone can admit that the holidays are a very special and magical time. A special time in which I believe can only be expressed by something even more magical. If you already know where I am going with this, then bless your soul, because Disney knows just how to express every emotion. This holiday season, I plan to snuggle up with my favorite blanket and hot cocoa and watch every Disney movie. Why? Because why not? Between the estranged questions from strangers on the new happenings in your life, to not knowing what to with the three-week long break from homework and class, Disney is always there to be of assistance. Here is just how accurate the emotions of Disney are during this Holiday season.

1. Finally going home for the first time.

That feeling in your gut when you've been missing home and you wake realizing today is the day I get to go home and sleep in your OWN room, in your OWN bed. Ahhh, the feels.

2. First sight of your parents

Might be slightly weird the first time, but it all ends in hugs filled with love.

3. Seeing your pets after months

Nothing is better than receiving sloppy wet kisses from your beloved pet.

4. The family car

Not having your car is the WORST when away at school, especially when you end up having to beg to use the family car.

5. Ugh, curfew

"Say whaaaat?" You mean I have to be home by what time? No, no no. I'm an adult now.

6. Home cooked food

20/10 times Mom's cooking is better than anything at school.

7. Playing in the snow.

Probably one of the most magical parts of the holidays is the change in seasons.

8. Shopping

Better start a list of all of the people you need to buy Christmas gifts for! Nothing like receiving a gift from someone and not having one in return..awkward.

9. Parking spot feuds

There are just some ladies and gents that do not know how feisty I can get after driving around to every store and not being able to find one spot.

10. Discovering you actually have no money.

In all the bliss of being home you forgot you are not making real money to spend.

11. …but wait a credit card!

However that credit card you signed up for did approve you, so just spend what you need and pay it back later... right?

12. Being told to sit at the kids' table

I do not even need to express the reasoning on this one.

13. Finding out that break is almost over.

Just like the semester the break has come and gone in a flash and you already have to go back to school.

14. Post holiday workout

Well you just noticed your new friend above your belt from all of the delicious holiday foods, so, of course, you must attempt

15. Contemplating returning to school

Where are you free? At home you are free from responsibilities and schoolwork, however, at school, you are free to make all of your own decisions.

16. Deciding that you need Degree to get anywhere in life

Let's face it as much as we all have a love-hate relationship with the school and home we have to finish what we started.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
