Fear can paralyze you. There is so much to worry about in our world today. We've all worried about our future. Each one of us has worried about where we'll go to college, what we will major in, where we'll go to graduate school and where/what our first job will be.
Life is so stressful, because it is full of unknowns.
Matthew 6:34 says, "Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own."
There is absolutely nothing you can do about the future. There is no way for us to be in control, but we can trust the One who is.
Life is full of choices. We can choose to "guard our hearts for it is the well spring of life" and we can choose to focus on "whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable--if anything is excellent or praiseworthy--think about such things."
One of my favorite verses in times of fear is Isaiah 41:10,"So do not fear, for I am with you'd not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand."
We don't know the future, but we know the One who does.
Romans 8:38-39 says, “And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow—not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love.”
So give your greatest fears to God and feel His perfect peace wash over you.
