Being a girl and having guy friends is awesome, however, at the same time it sucks. It's enjoyable to hang around guys because there's little to no drama unlike when your with your girl friends. Girls crave drama for some reason but guys tend to stay away from it. The only downfall to having guy friends is they tend to hit on you which can become annoying when you're just friends.
Guy friends are great to have, but having a gay best friend is even better. Here's why:
1. They never hit on you or try to get with you. You'll never have to worry about them catching feelings for you.
2. You can talk about hot guys together.. it's always fun to rate guys with each other on tinder!
3. Your mom completely trusts him and knows you'll be safe when going out with him.
4. You can have sleepovers because your parents don't have to worry about you getting pregnant.
5. When a guy is hitting on you that you're not interested in, use your GBF as your fake boyfriend!
6. You can get a guy's honest advice on the do's and dont's in relationships. Even though you may not listen, he still knows how guys think.
7. Your GBF will never steal your guy from you. Girl friends can be vicious backstabbers and try to get in between you and your man. I've had it happen before; let's just say she's now my ex-friend.
8. He listens to the same type of girly music you love. Taylor Swift, Ariana Grande, Demi Lovato.. you name it!
9. You get to meet other awesome gay guys from your GBF!
10. Most importantly, he will always be there for you, through thick and thin. He'll be a friend you have for life.
As you can see, having a GBF is pretty unbeatable. I think more people need to become more accepting of gays because they don't know all of the awesome people they're missing out on getting to know. After all, a GBF is probably one of the best friends you'll ever have!
