There are a lot of girls like me, girls who are a different breed. The thing about girls like me is that we are special, we are different, we are unique, and we’ve been hurt. We have been taken advantage of many times, our kindness, our loyalty, everything that makes us so different, usually is our downfall.
We are often the ones who have been hurt the most, we give everything we have into everyone, we try to see the good in everyone. We don’t know how to be selfish, we’ll give our last dollar to someone who needs it without a second thought on how it’ll affect us. We do that with everything we have, we literally will put our all into someone and in most cases, we don’t get the same in return. Like I said, girls like us have been hurt, we’re usually the ones that have been taken advantage the most, let down the most, used the most, and yet we still give it another shot, we reopen ourselves to the possibility of once again being hurt.
Girls like me are not always the prettiest, but the way we hold ourselves makes us a special kind of pretty, we fake it until we make it. We don’t have great confidence, we don’t love our bodies, we don’t see ourselves as beautiful, and we have issues with the reflection in the mirror. We’ve been programed to think that it’s our bodies and ourselves in general that keep people from wanting to have anything to do with us, so we try to make up for it in everything else.
Girls like me are more delicate than they seem. I know that I for one seem like I have it all together, that I have confidence, that I don’t care what people say about me, and that’s true to an extent. But in reality, I don’t have any confidence, I am a complete mess, but I refuse to let most people see that, I don’t want people to know the real me, because the real me is already broken, the real me is easy to hurt, but I will always forgive people when they do. That’s another thing girls like me do- we forgive too much and give too many chances.
Girls like me are hard to come by, so if you find one, be gentle, be careful, she’s been hurt a lot in the past. If you find a girl like me, know that no one will love you as much or as hard as she will, and it will hurt like hell if you leave her without telling her why. If you find a girl like me, don’t get annoyed by her questions, she asks them because she cares, and if she annoys you, just tell her, she’ll understand, she understands too much. If you find a girl like me, don’t let her go.
