Yes I’m A Girl, And Yes I Play Fortnite

Yes, I am a girl--so what? Fortnite was made for everyone to play. Why should only guys get to brag about their wins or squad goals?

"Tilted Towers" is a mess waiting to happen. I like to run town to town and build up my gear before diving head-on into the circle (avoiding the storm of course.) everyone has their strategy I would figure and share mine, just in case you didn’t believe that I play.

Everyone should feel the thrill of winning first, even though it is a bit overrated nowadays. On my Snapchat, it’s all these guys bragging about their 20th win of the day. It's as if they don’t have homework or something?

The frustration of getting to the last part of the game and being sniped by a wimp who can’t run around really grinds my gears.

Whoever implied that it’s a guy-only game will regret that when they see my wins.

All too many times I will go with my boyfriend to hang out with his friends. They will, of course, be playing "Fortnite" because what even is "Call of Duty" anymore?

When the controller gets to me, the guy will try to hand it to my boyfriend. He immediately hands it to me and smirks at all the dumbfounded faces.

So the next time you fire up that ol’ console, consider asking your girl if she wants to have a go at it!

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.
