With all of the "Gilmore Girls" reunion cheer, it is necessary to reassess why our lives need to mirror those of Lorelai and Rory (because let’s admit it, we have all wanted to be them at one point or another).
To help you on this journey, here is a "Gilmore Girls" Bucket List. As die-hard Gilmore fans, we should all strive to accomplish as many of these tasks as possible in our lifetimes.
1. Participate in a dance-a-thon.
2. Find your Luke’s Diner.
3. Live in a small town, like Stars Hollow.
4. Find your best friend.
5. After a move to a new house, determine all of the best delivery options for future reference.
6. Attend a private school.
7. Take a road trip to admire prospective colleges (even if you aren’t interested in colleges, just take a road trip to see some).
8. Attend a festival for every season.
9. Travel through Europe, either Emily Gilmore style, or Lorelai Gilmore style. Your choice
10. Pledge your loyalty to either Harvard or Yale.
11. Find a friend in someone you didn’t always like.
12. Have someone build you a chuppah. Bonus points if it is built by your true love.
13. Use a pro/con list to make an important decision.
14. Go to a concert for one of your favorite bands.
15. Wear a flower crown.
16. Be in your best friend’s wedding.
17. Participate in a picnic basket auction, date included.
18. Open an inn
19. Become a journalist.
20. Follow your dreams, whatever they may be.
21. Ice skate in your own backyard.
22. Renew your vows.
23. Have a movie marathon with endless amounts of junk food.
24. Hold on to something special.
25. Have at least one good argument over produce.
26. Name your daughter or son after yourself.
27. Participate in a snowman (or woman) building contest.
28. Join a secret society.
29. Do something crazy and spontaneous (ball gown optional, but it adds to the excitement).
30. Own a dog, preferably with the same name as a celebrity.
31. Attend a town meeting. Don’t forget the fries and shakes.
32. Have your boyfriend build you a car.
33. Spend a weekend at a romantic inn with all of your friends and neighbors.
34. Go outside and enjoy the first snow of each year.
35. Realize who and what means the most to you.
Keep this list close to you and always strive to be the best Gilmore you can be. Now, go get some coffee and pie at Luke’s.
