Here's your go-to guide for all the best food spots in Georgetown. If you plan your day right, you can hit them all, but be prepared for your wallet and weight to take inversely proportional hits as well.
9 a.m.: Saxby's

11 a.m.: El Centro D.F.
This urban Mexican restaurant is the perfect place for an atypical Sunday brunch date. Treat your date and yourself to unlimited mini-meals and non-alcoholic beverages for just $25 (or unlimited alcoholic beverages and mini-meals for $35)! I repeat, UNLIMITED MEXICAN FOOD AND BEVERAGES. Go. Now.
2 p.m.: Georgetown Cupcake, Sprinkles Cupcakes or Baked & Wired
These three delicious bakeries make choosing a dessert location a tough decision. However, because of its TV show and excessive publicity, the line outside Georgetown Cupcake usually wraps around the block, so you might have better luck at one of the other two bakeries. Additionally, Baked & Wired is the only one of the three that sells baked goods other than cupcakes, which may affect your decision if you're craving a different sweet.
4 p.m.: Wingo's
Don't be fooled by its unwelcoming (read: sketchy) exterior. This is a hidden gem that any Georgetown native will highly recommend. Also on O Street, Wingo's is most famous for its delicious batter-dipped French fries. For just $2, you'll receive a cup full of spicy or regular fries (I recommend the spicy) the size of a Big Gulp. Again, a little taste of heaven (and obesity).
7 p.m.: The Tombs Restaurant and Bar
This 36th Street restaurant and bar has a delicious variety of meals for any time of the day. It is especially known for its great brunch and afternoon study snacks for Georgetown students, but is also a dinner option you cannot go wrong with. If you think the food's good, wait until you experience the service. The Tombs hires mostly college students for their waiters, who wear the preppiest attire with bowties for uniforms.
9 p.m.: Hershey's Ice Cream or Thomas Sweet
Both of these ice cream parlors promise nothing but happiness and good old-fashioned ice cream. Hershey's lies on the waterfront of the canal, giving you a great view and a nice walking path if you so desire, but there are no words for Thomas Sweet's ice cream — you just have to experience it. You might just have to get both — I did say your wallet would take a hit.
