Gen Z, Stop Posting Pictures Of You And Your Friends Not Social Distancing, It's Not Safe

This is why no one likes our generation.

They are the problem thinking that their actions don't affect anyone else.

It's quite disgusting how many young adults are posting photos on social media of themselves from their spring break vacation with their friends. They are the problem.

No one is impressed that you were just on a beach with hundreds and hundreds of other people. No one is impressed that you took a group picture with your entire friend group. It's really sad and only shows how naïve and selfish you all are.

For some reason, many people think they can do whatever they want. It might be because they think they won't get the coronavirus or just because young people tend to believe they are invincible and nothing bad could ever happen to them.

This thinking is not only flawed, but a dangerous way to live because it doesn't just affect them, but also everyone they come in contact with.

I don't want to generalize and say every Gen Z member is like this, considering I am also a part of this generation group. I recognize there are also people older than us who are violating the rules as well, and this goes out to them, too.

I just have seen way too many people my age posting pictures with their friends recently, whether they went on vacation or just to go hang out with a group of friends.

That's the issue.

You go out to hang with eight friends, and one of those friends has the virus but is unaware. Then, the next thing you know, you have the virus. Now, you have just brought the virus in your own home all because you wanted to have a good time with friends.

It's selfish of you and shows how irresponsible you really are.

Newsflash: if everyone followed the rules and stayed inside unless necessary, then I think this country would be seeing different results than what we see now.

Going out to a party at a friend's house is NOT necessary.

Going to work because you are a necessary employee or going to the store to buy food for your family IS necessary.

Those are things that HAVE to be done.

Does the whole situation suck? Of course, it does. No one wants to be quarantined and be told they cannot leave unless absolutely necessary.

I know young people just want to be with their friends and have fun, but they need to put a hold on that lifestyle just until this virus gets handled.

No one likes this situation. People want to go back to work. People want to go back to school. People want to go on their vacation that they've been planning for months.

You're all just going to have to FaceTime or Skype your friends for now. I promise you, your friends and parties will still be there in a few weeks or so.

You can wait, so do the right thing and stay inside your house. Don't invite anyone over.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
