A heart attack is when the coronary arteries pump blood to your heart.

If you get coronary heart disease, plaque builds up around those arteries that are traveling to your heart.

Well, believe it or not, everyone has a heart attack.

Crazy, right?

There are people in the body of Christ who are having spiritual heart attacks. The Holy Spirit is pumping oxygen and rich blood to your heart. Your heart is where your mind, will and life choices are.

Instead of chest pains, you're getting attacked in other areas of life -- and you can't figure it out. You brush it off because it's not a big deal, or because you go to church.

Soon, the arteries (Holy Spirit) begin to slowly pull away. Because when you sin, you're separating yourself from God. The plaque is building up, and now you have a blood clot.

Now, the Holy Spirit can't get to your heart.

You're going to have a spiritual death.

You can't say you're saved, because you've said a couple of words. If the enemy said, "I'm saved. I believe that Jesus is Lord and I confess with my mouth," would you believe him?

We make every decision that lines up with the enemy, but say we live for God. You don't belong to God because you said so; there needs to be proof in your actions. When you really live for Him, you won't want to sin.

"These people honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me." ~Matthew 15:8

You wonder why you don't desire God? It's because you're not taking the time, or care to spend time with Him.

We talk about Him, but we don't spend time with Him. You spend five minutes with Him, or make Him your end part of the day. Then, you wonder why it doesn't work out or why you're not seeing any results. At some point and time, we have to start making Him a priority.

Do we really want God, or is it just a title we wear?

He wants all of your heart.

If you belong to Him, you're going to stay in the light. Go in the path that glorifies the Father, and when you're in that path, you'll find He has things set up for you. Are you giving Him a chance?

When you give Him every area of your life, He begins to heal you and make you whole. He starts to rebuild your foundation, brick by brick.

Your heart is being hardened. There's a war going on in the inside of you for the seat of your heart. If you don't guard your heart, and protect it, the world is going to win you over.

We must come to a place of brokenness. In Matthew 21:44, it says:

"Anyone who stumbles over that stone will be broken to pieces, and it will crush anyone it falls on."

If you don't stumble over it now, it's going to crush you. Either way it goes, you're going to be broken before God, or your rebellion, is going to crush you.

It's like the world has a heart attack, and they're smart enough to get a pacemaker, change their diet, do something different and to obey the doctors orders; Then, we hear the doctor's (God) orders, and still do what we want to do and live the way we want to live.

The world is not smart enough to realize they need help, but you have the Holy Spirit on the inside of you. He's giving you instructions.

If you don't change some things, you'e going to have a heart attack, and you're going to continue to push yourself away from the Holy Spirit.

You don't need affirmation from people; you need Jesus.

You need all of who He is to penetrate the inside, and change you.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
