It's the season...so whoop dee do!! Get some people together and check out some of these cool things to do in the metro Detroit area.
1.) The Wild Lights at the Detroit Zoo.
The Detroit Zoo just started putting on this event a few years ago, and I absolutely love it. Starting in November and lasting till January, they put on a great display of beautiful lights and provide hot chocolate, adult beverages, and yummy snacks. The feeling that you get there is incredible. There's not a lot like it.
2.) Driving in Downtown Rochester to see the lights.
This is my hometown, and I love driving through to see all the buildings covered in gorgeous lights. If you have not seen it yet, I highly recommend that you do. You won't regret it!
3.) Driving around to different houses to see light shows.
I know of a few houses in Rochester alone that light up their houses and coordinate them to music, and it's so cool to sit in your car, tune in to the radio station, and watch the show.
4.) Huckleberry Village.
I went to Huckleberry Village for their little holiday show last year and absolutely loved it. They had lights displayed throughout the village, opportunities to get pictures with Santa, a train ride with more lights and Christmas music, and a program in the theater as well. It was very cool to see, and I would recommend it to anyone.
5.) Go to Campus Martius.
Right in the middle of downtown Detroit, Campus Martius has an ice skating rink as well as a huge Christmas tree that looks absolutely beautiful. I've never been personally but would really like to go sometime this year.
6.) Seeing the train at Romulus.
Every year, a train decorated in lights and other decor stops at Romulus for a period of time, and I've heard it's super cool to go and see! That's another thing I would like to do sometime.
7.) The Kringle Jingle.
Every year, 98.7 hosts a concert at the Fillmore with a popular band, and it sounds like it's a great time. So if you love music and are looking for something to do next Friday night, the 15th, maybe consider going.
Here are some ideas for you to consider, now go out and enjoy the holiday season!
All my love,
Kamille
