Some of these make no sense at all, but that's the beauty of it!

If you're stressed over anything, here are twelve fun holidays you probably knew about to take your mind off it!

1. Put On Your Own Shoes Day - December 6th

Whoever came up with this day was obviously salty about someone stealing their shoes. Obviously, since this day makes no sense, there's not a good meme and I'm sorry.

2. Toothache Day - February 9th

Why is this a thing? Just why?

3. Take Your Houseplants/Pants On A Walk Day - July 27th

Yes, you read that right.. July 27th has two bizarre holidays! So, go on and walk those plants (and pants).

4. Punch The Clock Day - January 27th

When I heard of this, I literally pictured this meme in my head of someone punching a clock; however, this is literally a day where you get snacks at work. I was disappointed, and now you are too.

5. Monkey Around Day - June 14th

This holiday was created to get rid of your stress and relax.

6. Babbling Day - October 21st

We all have that friend that never stops talking, well this day is for them.

7. Look Up at the Sky Day - April 14th

It's not like you have anything better to be doing, give the sky some attention.

8. Sneak Some Zucchini Onto Your Neighbor's Porch Day - August 8th

In case you're like me and didn't know what zucchini was, here's a cat video to explain. Now that you know, go ahead and sneak some over to your neighbor's house.

9. If Pets Had Thumbs Day - March 3rd

Imagine what it'd be like if your cat or dog or even fish had thumbs.... can't do it? Yeah, me either.

10. Be Late For Something Day - September 5th

Now this is a holiday I can celebrate!

11. Dance Like A Chicken Day - May 14th

This is a day for all of you that peaked in elementary school, go show off those dance moves!

12. Hoodie Hoo Day - February 20th

So this day was designed so people can overcome Winter and get ready for Spring.

And these are only 12 of the days. If you google "weird holidays" you can find so many strange days you never knew existed. I came across this website and it was pretty entertaining.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
