"Full House" ended one year before I was born, and yet I have seen every single episode more than once. I owned the seasons on DVD and remember putting them in my portable DVD player as a child (the world before Netflix) and watching them on repeat during long car rides. I used to be able to close my eyes and picture exactly what was happening on the screen because I had seen the Tanner house shenanigans so many times. To this day, I still watch an occasional episode when I see that it is on Nick at Nite or ABC Family, excuse me, I mean Freeform.
When I heard that Netflix was discussing a spinoff, I was very slow to get my hopes up. However, the rumors are true and after 20 years (my entire life) the Tanner family will be back filling my TV with wholesome family values -- you got it, dude!
I have done some recent stalking on the "Fuller House" stars and the premise is essentially the same as the original show, except centered around DJ raising her sons as a widow with her sister Stephanie and childhood bestie, Kimmy. The promo for the show had me in tears.
Here are some questions I want answers to during the Feb. 26 season premiere.
Where is Michelle Tanner?
Obviously, Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen have had a roller coaster ride since ending their time as America’s favorite little girl in 1995. They had several TV shows, movies, dolls and clothing lines, followed by some lows, but they are now doing well with a successful fashion line. However, they aren’t participating in the remake. I am very interested to see how they explain the exclusion of such a pivotal character.
Will Steve and DJ be couple goals?
Steve will be in the premiere giving us all hope that he will be able to reunite with DJ and mend her broken heart. But so many questions! Why did they break up? Has he been married? Will her kids like him?
Nicky and Alex
I am very interested to see what Uncle Jesse and Becky’s twin boys look like as guys around my age. Will they be in college? The assumption would be that the sons of Jesse are going to be pretty attractive. I am wondering if they will be a part of the show or just referenced to in the plot.
What's happened in the last 20 years?
I am excited for them to fill in the gap of time from 1995 ton2015. What has everyone been doing? Is Joey still a comedian? Is "Wake Up San Francisco" still airing? There are so many questions to answer that will really define how their new characters are shaped and distinguished from the original show
"Full House" brings back so many great memories for me and so many other kids. It was a staple of our childhoods. I hope that this new series is able to capture the same spirit for a new generation.
