Messy bun, last nights make up, leggings, and a big t-shirt (or sometimes even last nights’ outfit) is the universal staple for girls who consider themselves a hot mess. A hot mess is a girl who appears to always be in disarray, whether in looks or thoughts, but there is something so intriguing about this kind of girl, you want to know her stories about the night before or past experiences because she gives off that vibe that makes you believe she has the most fun and is absolutely care free.
That’s the thing about being a hot mess, you mask your emotions and hide your feelings so you can keep up the fun and care free act. Bad day, or fight with a boy or friend and you’ll be at your favorite bar spot drinking until the bottle is empty and you’ve danced to all your favorite songs. You won’t let anyone know you are upset you will just have fun until you forgets what made you upset in the first place.
As for boys you don’t have just one you have many suitors to keep you entertained and it takes a special breed of male to keep up with you because you are less emotional than most males and can out drink them on any given night. Your big personality is hard to handle and intimidating to most, you speak your mind and are not afraid to get in a little bit of trouble.
You can’t stand the expression of emotion and don’t understand why some girls are so focused on romance and finding a true love because let’s be real you love yourself too much and you (and vodka) are your own true love.
I define a hot mess as a fun loving crazy independent person who just can’t get a full grasp on her life. Being a hot mess isn’t a bad thing, we don’t let anyone else define our happiness we define it for ourselves and can make any time a good time. So embrace the messy bun and last nights make up and crazy disarray of events in your life because being a hot mess doesn’t make you less successful than anyone else, you get what you need to done but at least you have fun while doing it.
