As the countdown to the New Year occurred, so did the countdown for "Friends" coming to Netflix.
Most people in our generation were either too young or not born yet when the show first aired in 1994. So 2015 has brought us all the chance to binge watch an iconic television show that isn't about the Kardashian family and their never ending family problems. The show teaches life lessons in a way that gives you a solution instead feeling like you've just been scolded by your parents.
All the characters have such different personalities that mesh to create this amazing friendship in New York City. Phoebe Buffay is pretty much the flower child of the group. You can usually find her wearing rocking her long curly hair, a ton of rings, and a maxi while playing her guitar in Monica's apartment or Central Perk Coffee Shop.
Rachel Green was the classic mean girl in high school that everyone was jealous of because of how beautiful she is. She's pretty ditzy and doesn't know much about the real world because her parents have done everything for her her entire life. However, she gets knocked off her high horse when her parents take away her right to their money. She learns to live on her own and becomes a (terrible) waitress at Central Perk.
Monica Geller is the control freak, a.k.a. the mom of the group. Rachel used to pick on her in high school and now they're roommates. Monica likes everything to be clean and put in its place, which makes sense because she's a chef. Her need to keep everything tidy is difficult because everyone is always in her apartment.
Ross Geller seems like he is possibly the most awkward person you will ever meet. He's a paleontologist, which is sort of random, and he is also Monica's brother. Everything that could go wrong usually does when it comes to Ross. He falls in love way to quickly and it's usually followed by a divorce.
Joey Tribbiani is the pretty boy of the group. He's an actor that only gets about three auditions a month which obviously doesn't work in his favor. He's always jumping from one girl to the next and has no shame when it comes to one night stands.
Chandler Bing lives with Joey, and the two of them live across the hall from Monica and Rachel. If there is a moment that is sad and uncomfortable for every one you can count on Chandler to lighten the mood with a joke. He's super sarcastic, which is why he's one of the best characters on the show.
These six people have so much love for one another and would help each other out no matter how embarrassing the task may be. So if you still have some time off from school and aren't sure how to waste your time, I highly recommend watching this series from start to finish. Happy 2015!
