Yes, 'Friends' Is Well Worth The $100 Million That Netflix Spent To Keep It

If "Friends" was ever removed from Netflix, millions of adults would never be able to fully understand the priceless value of friendship.

The main characters from "Friends"

"Friends" is an amazing show that has really taught me the value of friendship and offered me a more profound outlook on life, itself. It is something that is close to my heart and I cannot imagine life without it. The series never gets old and it is always a thrill to rewatch all the episodes. Observing such wonderful camaraderie between the characters made me realize how having friends is such an incredible thing in life. Honestly, I cannot imagine my life without any of my friends because each and every one of them is special in their own way. "Friends" has proven that aspect to me countless times and I'm sure it did for others as well.

While watching the series, I found myself having more in common with Rachel Green. Just like me, Rachel Green has been pampered all her life and hasn't really learned the importance of being independent. In addition, I'm really into fashion and love to shop. Prior to entering college, I was exactly like her! Since things changed, so did I. As a college student, I have learned many lifelong lessons along with how to be independent. Likewise, I have a Monica Geller and Joey Tribbiani in my life as well.

One of my best friends who I have been lucky to meet in college is my real-life Monica Geller. She is intelligent, caring, and oftentimes a bit competitive. A fun fact is that both of us have watched the show simultaneously and have always alluded to several one-liners from "Friends." It has always been mentioned during our conversations in one way or the other. In other words, "Friends" has been and always will be a pivotal part of our lives.

During the process, we have also figured out how similar we each are to Rachel and Monica, respectively. On the other hand, I have a fun-loving and sweet best friend who is practically my real-life Joey Tribbiani. The amount of laughs we have together is contagious just like the ensemble cast of "Friends." However, having a Ross Geller, Phoebe Buffay, and Chandler Bing in my life would quadruple the wildness quotient way more! Perhaps, they will also come into my life one day as well.

If "Friends" was ever removed from Netflix, millions of adults would never be able to fully understand the priceless value of friendship. Making friends is not that difficult, but maintaining that friendship for a longer period of time is what tends to make people sweat. Essentially, true friendships are ones that are able to withstand the test of time and pass with flying colors. As a result, Netflix will begin to lose its customers and their business will most likely drown as well. The amount of tweets regarding this illogical decision emphasizes how many people love and cherish "Friends." Who would want such a lovable show to leave Netflix? The lively show has become a trendsetter and cult-classic ever since it first premiered.

By the grace of God, Netflix has realized the tremendous backlash of this ripple effect. I sincerely want "Friends" to remain on Netflix forever and not disappear after 2019. For the most part, "Friends" has become a significant part of our family and the thought of our family having to leave us tears me up uncontrollably. At this point, all we can do is simply pray and request that "Friends" shall continue to be there for us forever.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
