I Say All My Friends Are ‘Beautiful’ Because They Are

I tell my friends they are beautiful every time I see them and it is the truth. They’re not just conventionally beautiful – they have traits that make them beautiful in different ways. And you know all my friends should be told that they are beautiful every moment possible. So here’s to my friends:

The Party Friend

The party friend who can be too much when you go out together. You are beautiful. Your personality sparkles and booms before my eyes as you dance, chill, and enjoy your life. Even as I have to carry you home every night, you are still beautiful.

The Mom Friend

The Mom friend who takes care of us even though you don’t have to. You are beautiful. You're caring and sensitive and know what cheers everyone up. You protect us and impart your wisdom even though you’re the same age. Even though we don’t listen, we know you’re beautiful.

The Childhood Friend

The childhood friend has been with us through thick and thin. You are beautiful. We’ve seen each other through our ugly duckling stages and have secrets that you must take to the grave because pinky promises are forever. We don’t talk that much anymore but that connection we have when we talk for the first time again in months, or even years, is not just beautiful, but magical.

The Glamorous Friend

The glamorous friend who spends her time looking her best. You are beautiful and you probably already know it. You got the makeup tutorials on lock. Your outfits give us life and you can accessorize from head to toe. You show your love by sharing your love of the craft not only on yourself but on us too. So you’re double beautiful for wanting to share your beauty with us.

The Chill Friend

The chill friend who is just there to be lazy with. You are beautiful. You might not think about it too much, but your friends do need you. You’re calming and don’t have many expectations. If anything, a great time hanging out could be sitting near each other web browsing and showing each other something cute on Etsy or a funny meme. Your simplicity is beautiful.

I have so many friends who can fit into any of these and I want each of them to know that they are beautiful. Not just because it’s nice, but everyone deserves to feel beautiful and know that they are by the one’s they care about.
