Halloween and candy go hand and hand, and we all have our favorites. Who could forget those wonderful moments of dumping your plastic pumpkin pail on your living room floor after a night of trick-or-treating and seeing if you scored all of your favorite sweet treats? I know those were some pretty great moments for me.

Now I'm sure you've read a million articles by now that have told you what kind of person, friend, or lover you are based upon your zodiac sign, but let's be real for a moment, your favorite Halloween candy says probably just as much about you as the stars ever will.

So, what kind of friend are you?

1. Sour Patch Kids - The fun friend.

If your favorite Halloween candy is Sour Patch Kids then congrats, you're the fun friend! It's always a party when you're around and you know how to mix up the day-to-day and bring some excitement into all of your friends' lives.

2. 3 Musketeers - The friend that always has your back.

Just like the consistency of a good 3 Musketeers, you're the kind of friend who is always there for people when they need it most. You don't get nearly as much recognition as you deserve (just like this solid candy) but you're honestly fine with that. You just want people to feel warm, welcome, and supported when you're around.

3. Butterfinger - The friend who always has a crazy story to tell.

You always bring stories full of piping tea and cringe-worthy moments to your wine nights or nightly dinners, and your friends love you for that! Most of them are living through you because let's be real, anyone who says their favorite candy is a Butterfinger has a pretty interesting life. Cheers to you for not being like the rest!

4. Candy corn - The lifelong friend.

Candy corn is the Halloween staple you're introduced to as a kid that you may keep on the back burner, but it's always there. Same thing with a friend who loves candy corn. They're your kindergarten bestie that's still around as college seniors and who will always be there for you.

5. Reese's Peanut Butter Cup - The popular friend.

Everybody loves Reese's, just like everyone loves the popular friend. There's just something about them you enjoy having around.

6. Smarties - The smart friend.

If your favorite Halloween candy is Smarties, you're the kind of friend who everybody wants sitting next to them in class. You're smart. Simple as that, and thankfully you're the kind of person who is super sweet and doesn't mind that people ask you for help.

7. Nerds - The silly friend.

No, you're not the nerdy friend like you probably expected. You're the silly, goofy friend who is always doing the most random things just for a laugh.

8. M&Ms - The mom friend.

You always carry extra snacks in your purse. You're the DD nearly every weekend. You're always a shoulder to cry on. You're the mom friend, to a t.

9. Kit-Kat - The ~chill~ friend.

You're just....so chill. Everything about you is laid back and relaxed. I wish I could be like you.

10. Skittles - The friendship that, unfortunately, doesn't last long.

If your favorite Halloween candy is Skittles, you're the kind of friendship that is a short blessing. When you come into someone's life you're amazing. You're exactly what they need. But for one reason or another, that friendship unfortunately isn't life-long. Just know that you're a gem when you're around, just like the sweet taste Skittles leave in your mouth.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
