Be it the stress, the sadness, the happiness, or the hassle of the first days of this new chapter in our lives, Brooklyn Nine-Nine knows how we feel. (some of this are specifically Villanova)

First week of freshman year is packed with stress, fears, laughs, and many many questions about your meal plan, but the detectives over at the 99th precinct totally get it. So here are 11 times Brooklyn Nine-Nine totally got what the first week at college is like for freshman. Noice.

1. I'm an adult now

First there's that one moment when you realize it. You have to start being an adult. Sure, we are not 100% adults, but we are on our way. You see your friends concerned about little things like laundry, or bigger things like "yes my plans after college are...". I know it's freshman year so we are in level 1 of adulthood, but somehow we are here whether we acknowledge it or not. We are no longer high school kids, we are college people. When did that happen?

2. Home sick sickness

We all get a little homesick. It doesn't really matter where we come from, at some point or other it hits us, the people I have surrounded myself with for years are no longer here. You miss your home (or homes) a little, sometimes even a lot. It's time to make a new place your home with a new family of sorts, which might me a little overwhelming. It's normal to let out a few tears, they can be sad tears or frustrated tears or scared tears. Just let it out.

3. Early bird gets the worm (and zero sleep)

You finally start looking at your schedule, your schedule for the next 6 months, and suddenly you see it...AN 8:30 CLASS. I am well aware that other universities may have earlier classes, so I can only speak for Villanova in this case. This is the earliest class there is and it means getting up early enough to get breakfast and then walk all the way to your class, which hopefully is as close as possible (it probably isn't). Regardless of whether you like coffee or not, I can almost guarantee you will be drinking it, even if it's begrudgingly, at some point.

4. Calle me by my first name

While some professor are very clear on the fact that they worked their asses off to get their title and insist on students using it, with all due reason, there are always those professors who are fine with you calling them by their first name. This is most likely the first time this happens in our lives. A big authority evens out the playing a field a little an insists, "call me by my first name, and I'll call you by yours" (no professor has actually said this, but wouldn't it be great?). The professor isn't your friend at the moment, but first name basis sure does feel like the start of a possible friendship.

5. Will this be coming on the test?

I'm realizing now that maybe this one doesn't apply to every freshman out there, but aren't we all at least a little nervous that maybe we'll miss some crucial piece of information during the first class? If you feel this struggle, then you are also probably writing down every seemingly important thing the professor says (if you are really nerdy maybe you'll write down something that's in the syllabus, "just in case"). But let's face it, everyone's inner Amy Santiago pops up during the first few days when you are still convinced that this year you'll be organized and responsible.

6. I've got my ish together

It's your first day and you get your first piece of homework. Easy peasy. You may even go work out or sit back and watch a movie. It's all going great and this college thing is easier than you thought. This is as far as I've gotten in my college experience, but form what I heard this is a big misconception and we are in for a treat. I can't wait for the long hours of study and the short hours of sleep, but for now it's time to enjoy the breezy first days of freshman year.

7. Healthy eating

It's safe to say we are all aware of the dreaded freshmen 15 *horror music plays in the background*, and to battle against them we all swear we'll try eating healthy. Heck maybe we'll even go work out. It will all be fine as long as we don't let all the options in the dinning halls get to us. Just eat what you need to survive, and you'll be fine. You can do this, you can dodge the freshmen 15.

8. Or not...

SIKE, YOU THOUGHT. No matter how healthy you are, we all give up at least once for that little midnight craving or a small indulgence on the basis of "self care day" or being anxious about a class. All joking aside, we should try staying as healthy as possible, but never pass up a fineee looking muffin or a good slice of pizza on a Friday.

9. Have you tried turning it on and off?

I haven't personally tried printing at the Spit, but I've only heard horror stories. Once you try printing out something with one of the university's computers, with a line of people behind you, and probably a bit late for class, you'll start a war against the slow computers and probably decide to start printing somewhere else.

10. But it was in the SYLLABUS

Let me paint you a picture. You get your syllabus, you look at the list of books for this semester, you get really excited so you make the decision to buy them. But then the professor tells you, "oh yea, we aren't going to use that book. I've replaced it with another one". WHAT. But, but, but...you waited hours in the line of the bookstore to get that specific book, and you bought it. WHYYYYY. (usually you can return it or maybe sell it to someone else, so all hope is not lost)

11. Party etiquette

And lastly, college parties. Look I know some people are social butterflies and are ready for parties, but for the sake of this list let's remember we are all freshmen. No matter how social, there is that little bit of awkwardness because we have gone from being the seniors in high school to being the freshmen, the little ones, in college. Of course it's going to be a little weird at first (see the Awkward Luau), but soon enough we'll adapt and finally feel sure of what to do at parties. But for now, we can all stand in the middle of the room awkwardly, together.

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!

For those long nights that turn into mornings when the struggle is real.

And so it begins.

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.

December... it's full of finals, due dates, Mariah Carey, and the holidays. It's the worst time of the year, but the best because after finals, you get to not think about classes for a month and catch up on all the sleep you lost throughout the semester. But what's worse than finals week is the last week of classes, when all the due dates you've put off can no longer be put off anymore.

Thanksgiving break is over and Christmas is just around the corner and that means, for most college students, one hellish thing — finals week. It's the one time of year in which the library becomes over populated and mental breakdowns are most frequent. There is no way to avoid it or a cure for the pain that it brings. All we can do is hunker down with our books, order some Dominos, and pray that it will all be over soon. Luckily, we are not alone in this suffering. To prove it, here are just a few of the many deranged thoughts that go through a college student's mind during finals week.

I know every college student has daily thoughts throughout their day. Whether you're walking on campus or attending class, we always have thoughts running a mile a minute through our heads. We may be wondering why we even showed up to class because we'd rather be sleeping, or when the professor announces that we have a test and you have an immediate panic attack.
