Why Freelance Models Actually Rule

Many people of today's world seem to think building a mass following and looking pretty is the only way you will make a career in modeling... Here's to the freelance ladies hustling through to their dreams! I got you... you rock!

1.They're dedicated 💡💻📷🚘

Basically to be a full time or even part time freelance model & make a living you need to dedicate a lot of time ... and just like you... it takes a little bit to climb the latter to amazing top notch photographers. It's not as easy as it looks people.

2. Self - Lovers 🌝⭐️🙇🏻♀️💃🏻

This means that between people judging them & some of the weird shoots you have to do to get to a point of success - you have to have a stable mindset and love yourself. It isn't something most people have the balls to do, especially because you're alone ... a lot. You have to know your worth and love yourself to commit to modeling and push through the judgments and alone time. Not a lot of your circle can relate to it. Only a stable mind can handle it.

3. They're beautiful, not stupid. 💁🏻🤓💌🛍

Look, I believe every woman is beautiful in their own way, but models get a lot of crap and undeserving haters for being "models" - Either they're too pretty to be smart or ... the only reason they are models is because the way they look and that's bullshit. Every model in the freelance world has actually built & maintained clients and a living off of doing what they love. It isn't easy & you have to know what to look for. I don't think that is being stupid. I think that's being extremely intelligent, dedicated, and loyal to something they love. They are humble & quiet (most) and have an incredible sense of direction that may be intimidating to other females and even males. Pretty DOESN'T mean stupid. Just because you are beautiful also doesn't mean you automatically have what it takes to be a model.

4. They put up with a lot. 🤗✔️💯🔐

You see some interesting stuff in the industry of modeling - if you want a lady who can stand some weird flaws you might have - try a freelance model. I can almost guarantee they are one of the most laid back/weird & corky women you'll ever meet. You can be yourself around them once you warm up

CAUTION: you might fall in love

5. AWKWARDDDDD 🤷🏻♀️🙃😅💩

Most models are extremely awkward and their modeling is a side of them that's very different from their personality. It's an art & something you get into character with. You feel different ways & sometimes a picture isn't capturing the ten times she fell into the water awkwardly laughing feeling like a total good because her shoe got stuck in the mud.... or whatever the funny situation is. Also... HOW WEIRD IS IT TO SAY "Oh, I am a model" and then get asked a million questions and looked at differently! Yeah, they are awkward. Rightly so

6. Unlike anyone you've ever met 🙌🏼👩🏻🎤🥂💒

At first your impression might be that "models" are self righteous or think they're the shit but it's actually quite the opposite. Knowing that in the industry you're likely to get some hefty "ew no, you're too ___" or "she's not even signed with an agency - what does she even model for?" Lines - you better know that girl isn't going to come in your life and try and make you feel bad.

You go through a lot being a model, especially a freelance model. That type of bullying is something they don't stand for & I don't think any of them want to hurt your feelings. If anything they're afraid you're going to hurt theirs.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
