To the surprise of many... Frank Ocean actually released long awaited new music. Ocean gained popularity with his album "Channel Orange" in 2012. One particular song in the album, "Thinkin Bout You," was especially favored and is well known by music listeners. After Ocean's fame spiked and Channel Orange had been out for a while, fans were ready to hear more from Ocean and prepared themselves for more tear inducing music.
After three years of silence from Ocean, he announced that he would be dropping an album entitled "Boys Don't Cry" in July of 2015. He also added that there would be two versions of the album. Fans were extremely excited and ready for his new music but, July of 2015 ended and there was no music from Ocean. Disappointment was widespread and the wait continued for those with Frank fever. Multiple release dates were rumored for the album and fans were more and more disappointed each time the music didn't appear. The discontent grew and spread on Twitter as people actually began to joke about the album never being released.
On Thursday, Frank Ocean shocked everyone and live streamed a visual album named Endless on his website and released it on Apple Music. People rejoiced as the wait was finally over for new music from Ocean however, there was still a great amount of irritation from fans as they expected a standard album with separated songs.
Then once again on Saturday, Ocean surprised fans. He released a standard album called Blonde with 17 tracks. Twitter was finally quiet as Ocean's many fans began listening to his album.
Frank Ocean finally delivered on his word. He released two versions of his album as promised and most would agree he did not disappoint. Some even went as far to say it was worth the wait. As for Ocean he thanked all his fans their support and not letting him forget that he had to finish the album.
