In 2006, with the release of her first studio album, we all fell in love with Taylor Swift. “Our Song” became the anthem we sang along to about our seventh grade boyfriends. Whether you love her or you hate her, you know all the words to the songs on her five albums. We have laughed and cried to her lyrics, and we have grown up with Taylor through her music. From 2006 until now, she has been subjected to a lot of hate and achieved an tremendous degree of fame, but here are four reasons why Taylor Swift is the baddest b***h we know.
1. She knows people don’t like her, and she doesn’t
care. We have all seen the Instagrams and Vines of her dancing awkwardly along
to rap songs. We all have a friend that doesn’t like her because she is
“annoying.” But you take one look at her new Blank Space music video, or listen
to the lyrics of, "Shake It Off," and it becomes crystal clear that this girl does not
give a crap what other people think about her. She has grown into a woman who takes that criticism and uses her music to turn it on her critics.
2. She has had the hottest boyfriends. Joe Jonas,
Taylor Lautner, Jake Gyllenhaal, John Mayer, Harry Styles. I mean, come on, that
is one beautiful group of guys.
3. She gets back at every one of those hotties
when they do her wrong. Imagine having a guy screw you over, and then being
able to write a song about him that millions of people blast in their cars and
rooms every single day. What a classy and awesome way to get revenge. I am sure
at least half of those guys have thought twice about leaving her since hearing
the songs she wrote about them.
4. She gets to do what she loves while making
millions and putting smiles on girls' faces, like me and all of you. Taylor Swift
is one of the most popular artists of our generation. She writes every one of
her songs and it is apparent the impact that these songs have on the lives of
others. It is so special to do what you love every day, and I am sure it isn’t
too bad getting paid (a lot) while you do it.
The beloved Urban Dictionary defines a bad b***h as someone who is independent, a boss lady, H.B.I.C, does what she wants, when she wants and is not concerned with what others say or think about it. That’s why we love her.
