Every time I enter a Target store, I have no intention of spending my entire paycheck; however, it always seems to happen somehow. I find it nearly impossible to spend less than an hour there just because everything they have to offer is so fantastic and alluring. These sections of the store are the ones I try to avoid but never can:
1. Clothes
As soon as you walk into my local Target, you’re faced with a variety of bathing suits, dresses, and other clothing items. Of course it’s necessary to browse through the many aisles of clothes I don’t need and buy another bathing suit.
2. Home
Shopping in Target’s home department makes me wish I had my own house to decorate. They always have the cutest throw pillows and blankets, but what seems to get me every time is their vast selection of picture frames. For someone like me who loves pictures and displaying them, this aisle is what I imagine heaven will look like.
3. Office Supplies
Do I really need a new pack of highlighters or a stapler in the middle of the summer? No, but you know I’m going to buy them anyway. Target also does a lovely job of selling color coordinating notebooks, folders, binders, etc. so I simply can never resist no matter how much I truly do not need more school supplies.
4. Containers
My final Target weakness is their wide selection of containers. Water bottles, thermoses, baskets, I want them all. My thought process goes as follows: “Do I use water bottles? No, but when I buy this cute one for $25 I will!” I also never have enough stuff to put in the numerous storage containers I buy, but I totally will someday and I’ll be happy I dropped all of my money on them.
In closing, if you ever need a lot of random items and don’t care how much you spend, Target is the place to be. However, if you’re ballin’ on a budget, try Walmart; you won't want to stay long, thus saving your bank account.
