Forget About The Noise And Just Keep Being You

Sometimes when you are being yourself, people will talk and judge you. You just have to block that noise out; its about you, not them.

When you start showing your true self to others,

There will always be those who don’t like the person you are.

It could be jealously

Maybe they aren’t brave enough to show their true selves like you do.

Really, it doesn’t matter what the reason is

The most important thing is that you don’t listen to the noise of what other people think of you.

There will always be people who will call you names and give you labels based on what they see.

When they don't even know the real you and don't even take the time to.

People are more than what meets the eye.

Remember that old saying “don't judge a book by its cover”?

That’s pretty much it when it comes to people being themselves.

Just because they do, act, dress, or behave differently than you doesn’t mean we should judge them.

In order to be yourself, you have to ignore all the labels and just be proud to show who you are.

To people, you may be something else, but all that should matter is who you want to be.

As long as you are happy with being you, nothing or no one else should matter.

As it says in the song by Britt Nicole “Gold”, no matter who you are,

You are loved, you are enough, you are amazing just the way you are.

You shine like gold just the way you are,

You can shine just by being yourself and no one else.

You are one in a million and don’t you ever forget that.

Even though people may call you names, and hate on the person you are,

And there may be days when you might get down,

Just remember to get back up and smile.

Because you still have that fire, you still are shining bright.

Don't let others tell you who you are.

Just stand out and shine. After all, “you're worth more than gold”,

“So don't be ashamed to wear your crown. You're a king, you're a queen — inside and out”!

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
