A purpose that sociologists have in this life is to define and label social problem for what they are, where they then go forward and enact social movements to the force of change. As I sit here and watch our world falling to pieces around us, when everyone is so concerned with politics, job, money, their social life or school, I ask this question; if the world dies around us, will any of those things matter?

The question seems very self-explanatory, and the answer is no. For, if the world stops turning, if the atmosphere caves in, if the sun bursts before we even know it, then none of the little petty things in our lives will have even mattered. All that wasted time, arguing, hating, holding back and assuming will have been for nothing, as even as the world is not over yet, it is all still for nothing. The only true problem that is worth facing, as other problems always tend to involve inequality, is climate change. It always comes down to fair treatment. Whether it be among race, age, gender or social class, the biggest struggle in our world today is the amount of inequality and judgment passed over individuals in our society. The only problem we should be dealing with however, should be climate change, for if we acknowledged it for the problem that it is, and came together in efforts to abolish the elites viewpoint on an infinite supply of natural resources, then that would be all of us coming together to break down our differences for an equal cause and right, which is to continue breathing on this world that we claim to hold most dear. Our perspectives and our values are what makes us unique at the end of the day, yet we are all the same beings walking among the same planet, which would easily come to an end if we do not take the power that we have been given in numbers to make the change necessary for our survival. We have been given the power, a power that we fail to see, yet all we have to do is come together with the equal souls around us, and before you know it, we are people living in a world of purity all over again.

The world around us is decaying, as are we. We can either be the change that causes the evolution of a lifetime, or watch blindly as we are trapped in our own minds, to afraid that the end is something that we cause with our divine purpose, which is to live and prosper. However, if we do not go about living in green ways, for nothing green can stay, then the gold that we delude ourselves with will be our doom. So, to the people who wish for future generations to not have to worry about the ways in which we have ripped apart this world we've been given, for our selfish desires, lets be the change that enforces this society to be more then what we think we are, and be the society that wishes to claim our right to live.
