This past week, my parents and I went to Florida for our begging of summer vacation. We decided to go to Universal Studios for three days, before all the High School kids got out for the summer. Before we could enjoy the parks or the beach we had to arrive in Florida, the trip its self was a seventeen hour drive and we had to leave the house at four am. That I can say was a long road trip. Before you go to Universal Studios make sure that you download the app on to your phone, this app will allow you to see what each park has for you to do and how long each wait time is for each ride.
Our first day at Universal Studios we went to The Wizarding World Of Harry Potter. First stop was down town London. We were able to take pictures with the night bus and the thick head that is in the window. Next was Diagon Alley were we bought wands from Olivanders, watched the tail of the three brothers, went to Gringotts bank and road a ride through the bank to escape from the death eaters, after we got all our school supplies we boarded the train and headed off to Hogsmeade. The train ride was amazing, seats were set up to mimic the movie and while we rode the train the played a film to make it look like we were actually traveling and had the voices of Ron, Harry, and Hermione. When we arrived in Hogsmeade we went to the three broomsticks and got butter beer, which I can say was good, next we went and say the frog choir and attempted to help our friends out on the ride in the castle. Next my dad and I got in line to test our magical skills with buckbeak, to see if we bowed would we be able to touch and ride him. We were success full. The ride was amazing, you could feel the wind in your hair just like harry did
and it was breath taking. Doing both sides of the Harry Potter world was tiring. We ended our
day early, Headed to Hard Rock Cafe to eat lunch and went to the hotel to swim and relax.
Our second day, we ventured back into universal studios and rode Shrek 4D where we were
venturing to save Fiona, this adventure had us riding horses, climbing towers, escaping fire of
lord farads dragon and having donkeys love save them from a waterfall. Our Next adventure we
stood in line to become a Minion and work with Gru. Gru had a machine that turned us into
minions, wish we could have seen what we looked like as little minions. We were minions in
training trying to fix the problems in Grus factory. My mom loved that ride more then the little
kids to be honest because she loves minions. At the end of the ride, my mom, dad, and I were
able to take pictures with three of the minions. The one I stood next to keep making kisssy noises
at me.
Transformers was next and that was awesome, this simulator had us chasing through the town trying to help the autobots save earth. We took little break from all the rides and went and saw the Horror make-up show. This show illustrated how different make up designs for specific movies are made through out the years. The actor made a few jokes with blood with a member of the audience as his assistant. When the actor brought out a knife toward her arm she had this look of terror on her face because she really believed she was being cut. This show definitely gave me a different idea of horror movies. Majority of them are green screened or just dyed glue.
After, we went and got food and headed back to the hotel for rest and relaxation. Our third and final day at Universal Studios was most relaxing, we went back to the Harry Potter world and got butter beer, road Buckbeak again and rode the train back to London.
Next, we wondered over to Adventure Island. Here dad road the Jurassic Park ride and almost got eaten by a dinosaur. It rained for a bit while we were at the park but at least this time we had our ponchos. Overall this was an amazing trip and In my opinion, I can say that it was a better experience then disney. I was overwhelmed with all the exciting things to do. I can not wait to go back and explore the park again.
