The Coffee You Need This Morning, Based On The Season

Coffee is a hug in a mug!

I am a coffee connoisseur, in my most humble opinion. I appreciate all flavors and blends of coffee, from a short shot of espresso to the typical white girl mocha latte. I cannot start a day without coffee! All of my friends and family know that they should not even dare speak to me in the morning before my coffee. After drinking coffee for many years, I've come up with a list of my all-time favorites. Here are my favorite coffee flavors for every season...

1. Fall: Pumpkin Spice

Pumpkin spice is a rich and beautiful flavor filled with hints of cinnamon, nutmeg, and, of course, pumpkin. My personal favorite of all of the various pumpkin spice coffees is pumpkin spice McCafe coffee. Adding a dash of cinnamon to pumpkin spice coffee makes this fall drink delightful, delicious, and so de-lovely!

2. Winter: Gingerbread

What is the holiday season without gingerbread? Gingerbread coffee is a sweet and spicy drink with flavors of ginger, cloves, nutmeg, and cinnamon. Add a spoonful of honey and cream, and you'll feel like you're eating a gingerbread cookie!

3. Spring: Irish Cream

When I think of springtime, I think of St. Patty's Day — a day where everyone drinks beer and wears a "Kiss Me, I'm Irish" shirt, even if they're not Irish. If you want to celebrate this holiday with a non-alcoholic drink, have an Irish cream coffee. However, what is an Irish drink without a little bit of liquor? Try adding a splash of Bailey's Original Irish Cream liqueur to have a sweet morning treat.

4. Summer: Thai Iced Coffee

Transport yourself to Thailand with a Thai iced coffee. In my hometown, my best friend works at a Thai restaurant and I always order a Thai iced coffee when I go visit her at work. Thai iced coffee is chock full of strong dark coffee, heavy cream, sugar, and ice. There is also almond extract and cardamom (a type of spice that has amazing health benefits). The almond extract and cardamom are the cherries on top, adding a warm and cozy feeling to a summery drink.

Try all of these coffee flavors with my recommendations of how to enhance the flavor! These coffee flavors will brighten your morning, no matter if it's a blustery winter day or a humid summer day.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
