Being a college student means being in a perpetual state of being broke. However, making a Groupon account takes five seconds and you can save so much money without having to go out of your way to find coupons.
1. Nails
Having your nails done makes you feel like your life is truly together. However, it’s expensive to maintain and you can spend that extra money on better things. With Groupon though, you can find gel manicures and regular manicures for under $20 at well-known salons who are looking to boost their clientele list. Recently, I was able to get a $25 gel manicure for $13 dollars and the results were great.
2. Exciting outdoor activities
If you want to branch out from the party scene at your school and go on a new adventure, look no further. With deals on everything from paddleboard lessons, to kayaking, to plane rides, Groupon has you covered. Some of their best deals I have found have been $20 glow-in-the-dark paddleboard trips, $30 parasailing, and $20 bi-plane rides.
3. Food, food, and more food
Just search for whatever type of restaurant you want to go to and you’ll find a Groupon for it. From rooftop bars to pizza places to cafes, you’ll find something good to eat for cheap. Don’t ever break the bank at brunch again!
4. Festivals
No, not the big festivals like Coachella, but you’ll find discounted prices on many smaller ones in your area. Recently I purchased an $8 Groupon for a seafood festival that was originally $30. Not bad for all you can eat seafood.
5. Fitness classes
Instead of dropping fifty dollars a month at a gym you don’t go to, browse Groupon for cheap classes in your area that will actually be worth your time. You can find everything from yoga, to spin classes, to barre workouts. You’ll spend less and will feel good in the process.
Also, Groupon offers a student discount on all of its deals so you can save even more money. Now, log in and get shopping!
