5 Things Only Capricorn Women Understand

We're basically the girl bosses of the zodiacs

5 Things Only Capricorn Women Understand

Hello, my lovely Capricorn ladies. If you're unsure whether or not that includes you, the Capricorn zodiac sign encompasses birthdays from December 22nd to January 19th. Some Capricorn women you may have heard of include Marilyn Monroe, Princess Kate, Betty White and Zooey Deschanel.

As a fellow female goat, I've comprised a list (who doesn't like making lists, as per item one?) of things you're bound to understand. We're a complicated sign. Capricorn women are driven and successful, but there's duality in that future CEO soul. Let's break down that stereotype that we're emotionless control freaks and discuss what makes the Capricorn woman such a strong, beautiful being.

1. Writing to-do lists is basically a hobby.

Capricorn women who map their days out on sticky notes, or even spreadsheets, are not hard to find. We aren't control freaks, we just know how to maximize our time to accomplish what we want to do. This doesn't mean we slave away in the rat race all day. I know I always pencil in time to learn a new recipe or catch up on shows. We're such bosses that we schedule in "living a little".

2. Your resume is not lacking leadership roles.

I know you aren't bossy, Cap, leadership roles just come naturally to you! You know how to manage people's skills in the most effective way and love to lend a hand to projects - especially when you can bring a unique skill set or perspective to the job. You understand the importance of mentors and teamwork and will always respect the times others need to take charge. But, c'mon, if you don't take the initiative, who else will?

3. You likely have a challenging major.

You don't shy away from the grind, girl. No matter how many plates you're spinning, I know you give your heart and soul to each one. Cap women populate areas of study such as accounting, law and the like. Why waste time and money on an institution if you can't reap the full benefits from it? Also, it's lowkey fun to organize your notes, cram late in the great library atmosphere and get that great report card post finals.

4. You can work a room...

but you also live for a night in. This is where some of the Capricorn duality of fish and goat come into play. Your networking skills are on fleek, as shown by your exceptional LinkedIn page. But you value the moments you can curl up with a book and forget about your busy schedule and just people.

5. You're basically a piece of toast.

We have this girl boss persona and it's authentic - we are a driven sign. But some of that blase bada**ery is to protect your soft center. You've got a heart of gold, Cap, and when you commit to loving and trusting a person, you're in for the long haul. That mask can protect you from people undeserving of that kind of amiable or romantic devotion, but also know that it's okay to be vulnerable sometimes. Your love of tradition also inclines you towards holidays, rituals, religion or even just your normal Tuesday lunch with Karen. Value how these star given gifts effect your relationships.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
