Everyone knows that girls love to go out with each other and sing and dance. And we all know that there are those certain songs that facilitate these actions like no other. While we all have our favorite types of music, no matter who you are, you cannot deny that when these songs come on, the “dance moves” come out.
1. Anything, and I mean anything, with Miley.
Girls love the heck out of some Miley Cyrus. I have no idea why, but as much as everyone hates on Miley, we all love her. Maybe it’s because she is everything we want to be but can’t, or maybe it’s because we just want to pretend to be her for those three minutes. All I know is if you put “We Can’t Stop,” or “23” on, all the girls hit the floor and sing as loudly as they can.
2. “Danza Kuduro,” or anything remotely Spanish with Pitbull.
Don’t even ask why we freak out about these songs, but if you are ever in the bar and look around when one of these starts playing, you are guaranteed to see flocks of girls pretending to salsa. Maybe it’s because we want to feel sexy or think we can be as beautiful as Shakira, but whatever creepy Pitbull is rapping just makes us feel awesome.
3. Blurred Lines by Robin Thicke
This is one of those songs that just makes you want to dance. Despite the controversy of whether or not this song is “rapey,” all of the girls just love to dance to Alan Thicke’s son’s smooth voice. Call us crazy, but we just love it.
4. Ayy Ladies by Travis Porter.
Whatever happens when this song comes out should just stay at the bar. Regardless of whether or not the girls know what he’s saying, they all hit the dance floor and their inner freak comes out. I don’t know what it is about this but it is something that you couldn’t pay to see. It’s a freak of nature and something that should probably just not happen.
5. Timber. Of course.
This goes without saying that Timber has become the new anthem for going out and partying. The lyrics are probably the dumbest and most simplistic words ever to be strung together, but all of the ladies just love it. No matter what we are doing, we stop when this song comes on. So watch out, because most girls will probably yell Timber way too loud.
