You may have heard about Vampire Diaries' star Nina Dobrev leaving the show after six seasons. In the season finale, the characters said their goodbyes to the beloved Elena Gilbert and fans everywhere were sobbing their eyes out. However, the fans have now moved on in the stages of grief ... to hatred and anger.
Here are just a few reasons we're pissed at Nina Dobrev for leaving:
1. The three amigos … minus one?
Elena is the glue that holds these three best friends together. It's hard to imagine Caroline and Bonnie without Elena Gilbert. From turning into vampires to dating brothers, these three best friends have been through it all. Elena always put her friends' happiness before her own because it was just that important to her. How will Caroline and Bonnie get on with Elena in their lives?
2. Jeremy Gilbert is all alone.
Not only have Jeremy and Elena lost every family member they had, but Jeremy's girlfriends have a tendency of dying as well. Even though Stephen R. McQueen is no longer on the show, fans can't help but think about poor Jeremy Gilbert without his sister.
3. The Salvatore brothers.
We can't forget about the Salvatore brothers! Maybe fans loved them both, but we all know that Elena had to make a choice. Whether you were Team Stelena or Team Delena, with Nina Dobrev leaving the show, no body gets their happy ending. The picture perfect series finale we had in our heads, with Elena and her Salvatore brother of choice, is highly unlikely now.
4. TVD ... without Elena Gilbert.
We've learned a lot of lessons from the character of Elena Gilbert, and the show just won't be the same without her. She risks her life to save the ones she loves. She is also honest even if it hurts those she loves. Elena has taught us to have strength in the hardest of times. But most importantly, she taught us that if you are stuck in a love triangle with two extremely hot vampires, date them both because life is just too short.
5. She's perfect.
Yes, 'Vampire Diaries' fans everywhere are cursing Nina Dobrev for leaving our favorite show, but most of all we're just jealous of her life. She's drop-dead gorgeous, extremely talented and she gets to make out with a million hot guys for her job!!!
So Nina, we wish you good luck in your future adventures without TVD. (But also we are all secretly waiting for Elena to wake up 60 years from now with Damon and Stefan at her beck and call.)
